Don't even the people who give IQ tests think it's only a vague hint at intelligence at best?
^ This man says he's smart. I have my doubts
Intelligence really means squat compared to ingenuity and wisdom, even if people tend to conflate them a lot.
We actually do, we have to, or our buildings and power transfer systems would collapse.
^x7 and ^x6 Bitches don't know 'bout my dimensional analysis.
^^^Well, in fairness, it's not like anyone actually has a solid definition for intelligence.
ahahaha, oh wow, my engineering degree laughs in the face of your petty self validating subjective criterion.
The Conductor - really at this point I'm not surprised. But then again after Ultimatum I just said fuck it with Ultimate Marvel in general and was content with 616 and other side fun things. That said, Scarlet Spider has gotten some action in it that I think the first three issues were lacking while Yost was building up Kaine's supporting cast. Avenging Spider-man is kinda hit or miss. Teaming up with Red Hulk to rescue Jonah from moloids? Great. Watching Spider-man stroke Hawkeye's fragile ego and nerd out over Captain America, not so much. I figure the crossover with Punisher and Daredevil will be good enough though.
Also, been rewatching Batman the Animated series. The show has aged amazingly well and it is still a blast to watch.
Also, archery practice was fun today. Every shot hit the haybale(this is good because hunting down missing arrows sucks) and 1/3rd hit the target. Groupings are tightening up though which is the overall goal. It seems like I do better when I draw the arrow, aim it and release all in one motion. And when I'm just not thinking at all.
Shut up, I can like hobbies you know.
Goes to make a twin pair of magnetic Dao.
I actually really really liked Spidey and Cap nerding out together. It was a nice bit of humanizing connection for the two of them, and I thought the scene where Spider-man says that yeah he does sometimes still play with the chemistry set he had as a kid was nice.
It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as strong as the precedent the first three issues set.
I was thinking about updating my Scooby-Doo liveblog then I realized I don't have the show on my computer since my external hard drive died.
And this week's Journey into Mystery is great as always. Really looking forward to the crossover with New Mutants next month.
Can any version of Spiderman beat a version of Superman?
I watched the first Scarecrow a few days ago and I really have to agree. Kevin Conroy's probably my favourite animated Batman if only because he sounds the way Batman should sound (to me)
No. Not unless he is boosted by some ridiculous power upgrade like the Uni-Force, Spider-man is just a really smart guy with gadgets, and a lot of superpowers. Superman is basically a physical god.
Well you know, unless Spider-man has kryptonite.
Juan - I really didn't like Scarecrow's initial costume. The later ones were a vast improvement. Also, how goes Finder?
Test taking strategy:
When in doubt, the answer is "All of the above".
Playing an MMO in the fifteen minutes before a server shutdown gives me the exact same feeling that running around Clock Town after midnight on the third day does.
Abyss_Worm,
Aside from the obvious fact of his naivete, I hate the stereotype of engineers being the "career" degree, implying either that it's the only worthwhile degree or that it's all that people taking the degree care about.
I can agree with that sentiment and I generally dislike the idea that certain degrees are inherently better than other ones. Still, I definitely think that you have to be pretty bright to be a successful engineer and in my rather limited experience, people who are skilled at math and science seem more likely to be good at other subjects than people who specialize in the humanities.
That being said, I thought that most of intelligence was just luck of the draw anyway, so I guess I feel like people overemphasize its importance or something.
I'm still on the first arc, issue 3. I really dig Jaeger and short haired girl who owns a giant cat and that store where Jaeger goes to get his fortune told.
My only issue is that it's hard to know who's who, although it could be far worse considering the art and script (which seems to skip names quite a bit)
Also DC's new logo is really dumb looking I mean why would you go from this,
to this
Wut
Is that real? It looks like something I'd throw together in five minutes while drunk or something.
It's real. It's on comics starting this week real. Christ does it look dumb. I mean who wants to make their logo look like a half peeled sticker?
Yeah, it does look like something I'd want to finish peeling off the page.
...welp. honestly, the old 80s logo's still my favourite.
Yeah, the old bullet logo was cool.
Here is the reasoning for the new logo. Honestly it just seems like a lot of unnecessary marketing voodoo. A little consistency wouldn't hurt DC, you know?
-Is still annoyed at the whole New 52 thing-
The positioning on those comic covers makes me go, "C? Who the fuck is C?"
The hell?
@Education: I like the system in Scotland, where university and college is free so long as you are progressing, I think you are allowed two false starts before they make you pay for it.
@Spider-Man vs Superman: Maybe if he had kryptonite webs...There's also a few Spider-Men who, I think could give Superman a fair fight;
And those are all the versions of Spider-Man who could fight toe-to-toe and maybe even beat Superman!
@Phone Charge: My laptop does that too!
Honestly, the new logo would have looked good if it was for something other than a comics company.
