Well, you can hide behind one of the walls in the midsection of the bridge, shoot it with arrows and let it come to you. If you're decisive and fast on your feet, you can slip past it, take what you want and proceed into a safe position on the other side of the bridge.
Pretty risky, though.
Let the dragon roast 'em.
Also, if you have a heavy weapon, you can simply beat them into submission.
I'm in basically the first room of the parish.
So, Kingdoms of Amalur is pretty awesome. I'd say more, but I should be asleep right now.
I enjoyed the demo, but I'm pretty burnt out on fantasy RPGs right now.
Except Skyward Sword. Can't get enough of that game.
inb4 argument as to whether SS is an RPG.
Also I feel really bad that I can't really get into Okami. It's beautiful and creative but I just don't feel a real connect to what I'm doing, since all the problem solving is just way too simple.
I'll probably rent at some point but right now I'm probably going to play more action games and fighters.
Oh and Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
^^ Oh really? I was going to give it a pass based on the artwork ('cause I'm super deep and stuff), but I might try it out. I've heard Bastion is good for that and you certainly seemed to pick up on that, so if you think Amalur is even better when it games to gameplay/story integration, then it must be something indeed.
^I was actually going to pass based on Todd McFarlane and R.A. Salvatore being touted as the lead creative minds.
Forzare, a bit late, if you want to kill the dragon early, down the stairs there is a doorway that opens to an exposed part of the bridge that is under it, and you can pretty much shoot the dragon with impunity down there. It might take a while though
Be sure to arrow its tail off for a nice weapon, if I remeber a playthrough correctly.
That's the drake sword, pretty good at the start.
Nah, that's just because Bethesda's game-content-making software has always been ridiculously terrible.
Dammit, political activists, stop emailing me! >:[
Being 18 is sorta cool, in its own way, but this, I could do without.
^ I don't know that feel, bro.
The Drake Sword's a crutch. I generally recommend against getting it. You can get a better weapon by the gargoyles, and the Drake Sword's a bitch to upgrade.
Really? It's extremely easy to get; you just go under the bridge and shoot at its tail.
Though again, I don't recommend actually doing that.
INUH, a true gamer will get every weapon! Whether it is good or bad! I AM DISAPPOINT!
People who get the drake sword tend to wind up using it long after it's obsolete.
On another note, my family made this last night ^_^
They really do that?
Well, given that it's obsolete three or four rooms after your first opportunity to get it...
That's an exaggeration.
Nope. The instant you get to the blacksmith, you can do better.
Also if you pump strength and are lucky, you can get some awesome looking Black knight sword/greatsword by then.
