  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Send some of that Devil's Luck my way!
  • You can change. You can.
Sorry, dude, still need it. There's no way I'm passing this semester without luck.

dem absences are really starting to show in my grades... >_<
  • Playing hooligan in the riot police's training exam is awesome because:

-Free hot chocolate milk the entire day

-You are required to sass and annoy cops the entire day

-The wooden bricks bounce off their helmets hilariously

-I roleplayed that I only understood English during a building occupation roleplay and they played along, so I could correct their grammar the entire time while they dragged me off into their van

-A charging horse tripped my shoe off, and if it was a few centimeters off my foot would have been crushed

-The bruises look badass in a macho stupid kind of way

In short, there's also an exam that's supposed to deal with stadium hooligans for which they also need roleplaying volunteers, which I'm so signing up for.

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
... you can sign up for that shit? xD
  • I actually got it through a gal at the frat who's played rioteer before in one of the exams. They need a large amount of people, and since the frat's a tad leftie we have plenty of fuck-the-police types around. You basically roll into the thing via people who already participate from time to time, show up at the appropriate place and time, sign a disclaimer, and off you go. I can get into contact with the person who does the recruiting via her, but there are also plenty of organizations who give short courses so the roleplayers can do more advanced stuff than throw stones and yell obscenities.

    Got my phooooooooooooooone!

    My first smart phone :3

They said they would pick a random color for the model (it was free), and it ended up being Purple, my favorite color!
  • Kichigai birthday!!
    Saw the new South Park.

    Errrr....
  • a little muffled
So episode three of Eden of the East is the first time I have ever seen accidentally texting the wrong person come up as a plot point in anything.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I really enjoyed EotE. I watched the whole series and the first movie in the same day.

Netflix needs to get the second movie on streaming.
  • a little muffled
Second movie came out less than two months ago in English, so it's not much of a surprise it isn't on there yet.

So apparently lifeguards at the community center I work at are given freedom to play whatever the hell they want, as far as music goes (since music is more to keep them awake than patrons), as long as there's no audible profanity . . .

Long story short, my boss told me I should bring in some death metal next Thursday. I'm part ecstatic, part apprehensive that there'll be complaints from the patrons. XD

^ I would be tempted to play music from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Genesis

Or maybe music from Ocarina of Time

Hm. Well, he specifically said he wanted to see what I normally listen to, so video game music would be outta nowhere. It would certainly be less offensive, though.

Meh. I won't go Brain Drill on them. I'll probably just bring in Coheed and Cambria and Mastodon. Out of what I listen to, that's relatively tame.
  • You can change. You can.
Were it me, I'd play Exile on Main Street. On a loop. All day.

Someone is bound to fire me for that.
  • We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, For the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year
I now have a basic grasp of the principles behind creating IP addressing schemes and subnetting.

    go me

Hmm... I should put on Mae Moore at work some time... They pretty much said anything but country (they despise country. They do allow songs with heavy swearing however)

Would I be evil if, during Christmas, I put on Christmas music?
  • But you never had any to begin with.
    Yes. Yes you would.

^^ That warrants at least a couple objects thrown in your general direction, I think.

In other news, I just checked the lyrics for Mastodon's Leviathan. It checks out.

Now maybe I'll look at a Pig Destroyer album or two. Or Between the Buried and Me.

Not gonna do Coheed and Cambria. Too awkward.

EDIT: Ooh, maybe Born of Osiris.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.

The lucky patrons will be the ones underwater. :p

    @Ian: Oh, hush.

You're right, though; lifeguards can get away with it because people are gonna be underwater a lot, and thus not hear the music as well.

EDIT: Converge's Axe to Fall checks out. This oughta be a fun Thursday.

  • It seems everyone loves to complain about school here, so I might as well join in on the fun.

Seven courses. Three of them are labs, computing labs in fact. Quite a juggling act. I've lost a lot of sleep hours this week (by my standards). Though fortunately I'm free from physics labs forever.

Now that I think about it, the reason I don't like to complain too much about school is knowing someone always has it worse.

That sounds bad. I would never take that many classes that require labs in college. Or at least, I hope that's not how it works.

But I shall move on to happier thoughts. Like my new desktop wallpaper.
  • Is that university courses? Because otherwise I'm not quite sure what you mean by courses.
  • Yep. It's Engineering Physics, the degree for the simultaneously smartest and dumbest people in Engineering. Smartest because it requires a 3.2 + GPA (with only Biomedical surpassing that requirement). Dumbest because here in Canadian Texas, employers don't value Engineering Physicists.

But I figure taking all those programming and integrated circuit courses will be worth it.

Hell, Mount Royal University only allows people to take 6 courses with special permission, and even ACAD doesn't seem to expect more than 5 or 6 courses being taken per semester

    7 must be brutal
