Oh, wow.
I went this whole week thinking that I was broke, so when it was time to put gas in my car, I was a bit hesitant. Wanting to get it over quickly, I hastily entered my PIN number, and mistyped the numbers, and when I tried to clear them, the transaction went through anyways. Confused, I finished gassing the car and decided that I'd check my balance to see if I was billed or not. When I got home, I logged into my e-banking thing and checked my account.
It turns out I had a hundred dollars on my card the whole time instead of ten. I'm pretty content right now.
I only got payed about sixty dollars this week instead of the hundred or so I'm supposed to get.
Still trying to figure that one out.
Do they pay biweekly or monthly?
Ever want to watch a video of a new species being discovered?
Weekly. So it's not a huge deal but still annoying.
Oh, I just figured that they did what they did at my company, which was paying 100 and then 250 across the month. - shrug -
Deep house is best background music.
Meanwhile in Poland: a major newspaper just accused the leading opposition party of serving pagan deities Svarozic and Svantevith.
Well, not really. All that happened is that they like to jab at them at any opportunity, and especially at their religious-conservative tendencies, and just now one of their journalists jokingly compared their opposition to the introduction of Euro to the pagan opposition to introduction of Christianity. But it's funnier when said this way. BTW nice timing, that song I've been spamming is some decent pagan metal.
My job starts on thursday.
Excite.
>look up deadlines for college transfer application
>one college's site says "it's not too late to apply for fall 2012"
>remove that college from my list
It's entirely possible that they've invented time travel. In which case, I'd say it's definitely a school worth considering.
Introductory Time Travel is a mandatory course.
edit: fuck you ninjaface
If they had invented time travel, they wouldn't be in the "safety schools" section of my list.
This works too well
>attempt to install new ssd
>the screws i have don't fit
>end up securing it with fucking ribbons
>put computer back together
>it's not recognizing it
Okay, motherboard is detecting it. So I guess there's just something I need to do for the OS to recognize it.
YES.
223 GB of empty, high-speed storage space.
You bogstandard check-up before participating in a medicine experiment. Suddenly tested for tuberculosis outta nowhere with injecting liquids under skin and shit. Science is itchy.
...come to think of it there was a puzzle involving swords in Mystery Hunt this past weekend.
I'm way more annoyed by monarchists than I should be. I think that it makes me come off as a dick at times.
Wait, there are people who seriously think a monarchy is a good idea?
More than you'd think. Serbia lol.
...Ah fuck, right, AND I need to take transit to school on Monday
I'll need an approximately bed sized portfolio for this...
Heh, monarchists are kind of a specific case to me. In theory, I should be like, meh. Don't agree but let them be. But in practice, they tend to piss me off. You know, the same kind of phenomenon when someone holds some comparatively crazy point and is religiously zealous about it.
Monarchies are only fun when they have a ceremonial function. Nets extra holidays, in any case, plus our princess is pretty hot.
Mostly yeah, but I'm pretty meh about it on the 'Net, probably because the 'Net community tends to have a very contrary view in general.
A lot of Brits (well, more English than anyone else) are attached to the monarchy. It's kinda odd, considering they don't actually do a whole lot. (The queen can veto bills, but I don't know how common that is.)
