Games I have on Desura right now: http://www.desura.com/members/quintsakugarne/games
Friend me, Schitzo!
Anyway, I've basically played only four of these games:
Tobe's Vertical Adventure: Quick little platformer with two differently-playing characters. Can do co-op mode with a friend (locally, not sure about online).
Dead Meets Lead: Formerly-commercial now-freeware game involving fighting zombies from a top-down view. Rather difficult and not particularly fun after the first few levels, I think.
Explodemon: A game whose player-character explodes periodically to propel himself and to deal damage. (Somewhat similar to Splosion Man but the two games were actually created independently.)
Slydris: VERY nice little tetris-like game where you slide horizontal blocks to clear lines.
Tried Rockman 8 FC. Beat Clown Man, died horribly on Search Man's stage. What's with the extra long passwords here?
I don't know. And Search Man's stage has been annoying me too for some reason.
And I have yet to figure out how to get past the sled section of Cold Man's stage.
I'll get to it um... later. Low on funds.
What's the price range for these games, anywho?
Also, are they Mac compatible?
Slydris is Mac-compatible, and has base price $4.99. I bought it in an Indie Royale bundle.
Tobe's Vertical Adventure is not currently Mac-compatible, and has base price $4.99. I also bought it in an Indie Royale bundle.
Explodemon is not currently Mac-compatible, and has base price $5.99. I bought it when it was on sale for $3.99.
Dead Meets Lead is probably not Mac-compatible, but is free.
Dungeon Defenders is probably not Mac-compatible, and has base price $14.99. I bought it in a bundle.
I also have several other games on my watchlist, including Aztaka, Hack Slash Loot, Cavorite, Unepic, Acceleration of Suguri, and Rin's Quest.
Silly Glenn, Cold Man is from Mega Man & Bass. It's Frost Man that you're thinking of. :P
Ice Man, Cold Man, Frost Man, Freeze Man, Chill Man, Fridge Man, whatever.
Kay.
Also Quint sucks.
I'm still wondering why I picked his name for my gaming username.
Then again, it might be because he's so damn obscure that no one knows who he is. At least, I won't have to compete with CloudStrife3453 and CloudStrife269 and CloudStrife11415 in making my username.
I haven't ever played any of the Gameboy games, so I've never fought Quint, though I do know who he is, so...
Yes, Quint Sakugarne is some guy who has Desura and Steam accounts, and who likes to pimp Recettear even though he's lately spent more time playing TF2 and Faerie Solitaire.
Well, still haven't found ME1 copy yet.
And my bro says Metroid Prime is too dark and it's hard to see things. Maybe it's the monitor he's using.
My hatred for those stupid cats in Monster Hunter Tri grows.
stop threatening to slam people's heads in the door
that is not something a cop should do
Wasteland 2 comes with a copy of Wasteland 1!
I don't see why Prototype is considered a Superhero game. It doesn't seem to have a superhero aesthetic or sensibility in mind. Sure, he has superpowers, but it's more like the story of a genetic experiment gone wrong, which feels more to like playing the monster in a creature feature than a superhero.
Because superhero elements = super hero story to a lot of people. I mean hell, you could tell a love story set on a space ship and people would want to call it a sci fi story instead of a love story set in space.
....are there any of those?
I'd read that.
If it was good.
There's The Time Traveler's Wife...
That movie was awful! It was also not on a spaceship.
There is a book... I can't speak for the quality since I haven't read it, but lots of movies do end up being weaker than the stories they are adapting.
Also there's Spice & Wolf which is a romance that happens to involve a werewolf.
And troll economics from what I can gather.
The European selection of PS2 Classics on PSN makes me sad. I'm not sure how stuff like The Sniper 2 counts as classic in any way, aside from being impressively bad. On the plus side, God Hand.
Wow, monsters die a lot easier in Offline mode.
Well, they should, what with you not having three other people to help and all.
I only had one person helping me.
Maybe that's why Gobul killed me.
Ah, there we go. Beat the fifth boss of Catherine. Just needed to use an extra block.
Been playing EDGE and Blocks That Matter.
Both seem kinda fun, though BTM gets hard pretty quickly. Or I just suck at puzzle games.
So I apparently have Source Filmaker.
Yay?
e: Apparently we all do.
Yay!
