I remember King's Quest insofar as I remember an owl telling me not to open the cellar door in a hilarious voice, and a desert and forest that would randomly kill you with a spontaneously appearing scorpion and witch respectively.

WOO GALUF CAN BE USEFUL NOW
(And not just useful: Galuf is now the most powerful character in my party.)
So, I've been thinking about the state of the industry, and I'm kind of wondering if the Vita might be the last system Sony releases. I mean, they can't really afford the development costs of a PS4 right now, and unless Vita software sales pick up (which they don't seem to be doing just yet), their losses will just continue to increase.
The PS4 is already in development.
Is it? I hadn't heard anything about it.
Though I maintain that I'm not sure they can afford the cost of a PS4, especially since it probably won't be sold at a profit if they continue their standard hardware strategy.
It would be a shame if Sony dropped out of the console business. The various PlayStation systems have all been pretty good and all boast really impressive game libraries; perhaps the most consistently good of any set of consoles. And given that a good gaming PC obsoletes some aspects of the X-Box, we'd be left with much less variety and no other company with the combination of expertise, experience or financial strength to fill the gap. Between the powerhouses of Microsoft and Nintendo, I daresay anyone who tried to compete from scratch would get slammed. In fact, the X-Box was probably saved by that fate due to the fact that Microsoft has had to deal with the needs of gaming machines for quite some time.
Besides, the traditional battle is between Sony and Nintendo. /nostalgia
I kind of agree, but things have been falling apart a bit with their post-PS2 systems.
Isn't that Sega and Nintendo? :P
Only pre-3D era, which is as ancient and grey-bearded as myself, and pretty much outside the memory of many gamers. Many game consumers (that is, early-mid teenage game consumers) were born around the time I was losing my shit over Super Metroid and have grown up with 3D as a standard mode of presentation and play rather than something to slowly and painfully adapt to.
Yeah, but in the current generation, it's kind of shifted to Microsoft, Apple and Nintendo.
Sony does what Nintendon't doesn't have the same ring to it.

So, the makers of Duke Nukem Forever are trying to crowdfund their next game. And they aren't even doing it on Kickstarter.
Some humor first thing in the morning is always nice.
So, Assassin's Creed: Revelations was so horrible I didn't even finish it despite it seemingly being the shortest game in the series by far. Well, fortunately, with the next game, they're bringing in a new protagonist because they understand that retreading the same ground and rushing sequels out just makes for shitty games...

...
It's really too bad Ubisoft collapsed shortly after releasing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, meaning we'll never get a conclusion to its cliffhanger.
So, gamers, their behavior makes me want to disassociate with them what acting like grumpy old men and various other shit and expecting others to act as bitter as them. I'd have to beat myself up if I ever end up like that.
Yes, I did read stuff on TvTropes that makes me shake my head.
Wait, Ubisoft is dead?
Tis a joke, Glenn. Tis a joke.
That's one problem with skimming text. If you don't know what's going on, it's all too easy to misread something, especially when there are jokes/sarcasm/satire involved.
It's almost as if it's a cosmic message to go out and interact with people in person where social cues are less ambiguous.
naaaaaaaahhhhhh
Someone is actually attempting to petition Nintendo to move exclusively to mobile devices now. Just what reasoning does he have?
Oh, because of his apparently fragile self-esteem.
Discontinuity, how original.
You overestimate my seriousness, I think.

> Item order for two pieces of armor
> Buy two of the most expensive kind in preparation for this
> Price of armor tanks on day of order forcing me to sell them at a loss
> Old men buy all my good gear, payrolled adventurers still wearing starting shit
Man, fuck capitalism.
