Anyways, current team:
Gonna drop Snivy really soon.
No roaming Pokemon in Black 2.
Which means I can no-effort catch Kyurem!
> keeping Elekid > dropping Snivy
Elekid is also going to be dropped after I find a more reliable partner. Like Krookodile or Galvantula.
Once you get Surf.
> using Galvantula
Krookodile is awesome though.
^ Basically that.
Also, I want to use my namesake but he's WAAAAAY too rare and slow. So I guess I'm sticking with Galvantula.
Hey, don't knock the Compoundeyes/Thunder combo. Galvantula's pretty awesome.
Galvantula is frigging annoying.
Perhaps I would be impressed if Galvantula had a decent stat spread, but as it stands, its only decent stat is Speed.
Zebstrika is much, much better.
Galvantula fan club unite!
What? No way! For one thing, it's attack is only like 3 points higher than Galvantula's SpAtt stat. And Galvantula has 91% accurate Thunders on it's side. Zebstrika has nothing of the sort. Not to mention, it's physical movepool is very limited compared to Galvantula's special movepool. On top of that, it's just as much of a glass cannon, and it doesn't have good STABs.
It has higher defences than Garvantula does, and a higher base Health, plus it doesn't give itself a weakness to Rock and Fire, plus eliminate its resistance to Flying attacks.
Zebstrika's only real weakness, Ground-type attacks, can be eliminated with Magnet Rise, whereas there's nothing to defend against Fire-types and Rock-types for Garvantula.
Don't you remember that I prefer offense to defense?
I was really hoping that this game would break you of that habit, considering the increased difficulty.
>Arguing about Electric types for in-game
>No mention of Magnemite
god you're all doing it wrong
shit
magnemite exists i forgot
everyone just go for magnemite
What increased difficulty? The best strategy in any game is to just go on the offense. The AI's not that good. In fact, ANY Pokemon is usable in the main games. You could solo the game with a LUVDISC for crying out loud!
Stats don't matter that much in the main game. Movepool does, and Zebstrika has a very lacking physical movepool compared to Galvantula's special moveppol.
Or go for that. Really, any Pokemon is usable in the main games, and keep in mind these are kids games, so of course they're not gonna be that difficult.
I mean, it's stopped being fun to me. Yet I just have training a level 37 (fffffff) Scraggy to level 50 (FFFFFFFF) and my lv 54 Stoutland to lv 57 before facing gym 8, then train everybody 5 levels for the E4, beat Ghetsis, and it's done
But yet... Well, I started the run on March 7th, 2011
>badmouthing Galvantula
i am disappoint nova
As opposed to stalling out your opponent and letting 10+ turns do what a Close Combat from Lucario could do?
I agree with this.
Well, there's also this. Children are one of the two biggest demographics, the other demographic being 16-20 year-old nerds who played Pokemon when they were kids.
By the way, have I mentioned how much I love Infernape?
You should all try teaming it up with Zoroark. Zoroark's like a far weaker version of Darkrai, but with a nice gimmicky ability (I guess) and access to U-turn. NO-ONE sees it coming on an OU team, and it lacks the annoying Psychic weakness Gengar has.
I just found out that the beta name for New Bark Town was Silent Hills
Dear god, imagine the fan theories connecting it with Silent Hill if that name was kept...
Okay. I tell you what; let's test whose method is better.
Currently, I am up to the seventh Gym Leader with a total play time of 6:22. My current team is composed of a Level 37 Axew, a Level 44 Zoroark, a Level 48 Samurott, a Level 41 Lucario, and a Level 33 Tranquill I use for Fly. Over the course of the entire game, I have had three Pokemon faint on me.
If you can beat any two of these records, I will immediately restart my game and go for a purely offensive-oriented lineup, and see how many Pokemon are knocked out/dislike me during that.
Sound okay?
and this isn't an offense team
Really? Who uses a pure offense on a Nuzlocke Run? Sometimes things happen involving Hax that can screw you over if you don't have a tank to switch to to cover your ass
On my run, my sweepers have a tendency to die. Not ONE of my tanks have died yet
Yeah, but I'm not Nuzlocking, so
I dunno, I tend to put at least 2 tanks on my team and it's gone swimmingly for me. I know I couldn't have beaten Cynthia without my Ferrothorn.
Yeah, but that's the way you play it. I just happen to prefer offense because the strategy works for me.
