    Teen Titans was pretty cool. It was never serious and was always kinds comical, the anime influences fit perfectly.

    That's because Marv Wolfman, IIRC. I mean, some of the dialogue was taken verbatim from the comis. At least, during the Terra arc. And Wolfman wasn't exacly good at dialogue. Although he was kinda good at Narm Charm within his comics. I mean, Barry Allen's death still shocks and hurts even though it's kinda badly written.

    Although the circumstances might help that. -shrug-

    I found myself disliking how the highly dramatic story of Mai-HiME didn't take itself seriously half the time.

    As for Teen Titans, I haven't watched even a single full episode of the show, but I have beaten the GBA game for some reason.

    I actually just realized why I don't like the series as much as the comics. Context, man. I mean, TT was supposed to be a team of sidekicks reeing themselves from their teachers and stuff. And this was in a time when sidekicks were considered shit and were about to be discontinued en masse.
