Have you tried right-clicking the image itself and just copy-pasting it? I know it takes up a lot of space, but it usually works fine, at least.

Like DYRE said, it depends. If the person complaining just doesn't like anime-influenced art then it's a matter of taste.

However, I've seen people claim that animesque art is an insult to Japanese people and Japanese culture because it's theft of their work and aesthetic. ._.

Boy, I'm just glad raging about anime art styles has died down since 2003. This is tame in comparison. Civilized debates, or as close as they get on the internet. Sure some people still hold own to their prejudices, but whatever.

The ONLY way that I can think of by which you could goof it up like that is by copying the link location instead of image location, then using the add hyperlink feature. In any case, even that text from copying the link is working, so I am genuinely mystified that you could bork things like that without trying to.

An oddity, if nothing else.

Well, I know Dororon Enma Kun looks kind of like Betty Boop, and Speed Racer looked like...something from Western stuff, but I don't know any others. (not an Osamu Tezuka fan)

I have no idea how the evolution into what it is now happened though.

Still enough variety for me, even though many are quite similar.
