You'd have better luck trying to get an Arceus in Black and White since there was an event for Gen V games earlier this year handing it out on wi-fi.
Wait, what?
DAMN YOU INCOMPATIBLE ROUTER WI-FI!
You're probably right. I have gotten a Deoxys and Darkrai through trading, but it doesn't seem like anyone is willing to part with an Arceus. I've been lucky and smart about trading so far, I think.
In news that only a few will care about, Gaslamp games has officially announced the next game that they are working on. Here is some more information on it from PC Gamer.
O.O
That is possibly the best pitch for a game I have ever seen, and it wasn't even written by the game's marketing team.
Though the Dwarf Fortress bit is likely an exaggeration; no graphical game will be able to reach its insane level of detail for some time.
Well don't miss the Keldeo event going on now in Gamestops and EB games in US and Canada. And the ones schedules in another few weeks in Europe and Australia if you live there.
I would have to go to a Gamestop for that. I'm just going to hope there's another one some other time.
You could just go and not buy anything like I'm planning to.
I could, but...Idunno
Going to play some Yume 2kki in the dark! Wish me luck
Wow. Clockwork Empires looks friggin' amazing. Too bad it's PC-exclusive. Although . . . now that I've removed McAfee, I wonder if I could actually use Steam with any reliability, since my computer's been so much faster since then.
Been playing Way of the Samurai in preparation for the European release of the 4th game in October. I'd forgotten how hard the combat system can kick your ass if you're not used to it. Though in all fairness, before now, I'd only ever played my cousin's copy.
For the unaware, the Way of the Samurai series is essentially "Kurosawa: The Sandbox Game". You play a ronin in feudal Japan, and are just let loose. You can upset the balance of power, just skip town completely, just stand around letting everything happen on its own, or make it your purpose to be the world's greatest dick. Every one of the games has a lot of weapons, each with their own assigned stance (with boss weapons generally granting you that boss' fighting style), which you can upgrade and carry over to your new game +. (The games are pretty short, to the point where the first two games have permadeath.)
...And I'm rambling.
I have to first Way of the Samurai. I've been wanting to try out the others.
I'd like to try Way of the Samurai. The permadeath mechanic sounds interesting, and actually appropriate for a short game. Usually, I'd leave permanent death to tabletop RPGs, but I can also imagine that it creates an especially tense and considered style of combat.
Yeah, a play through for the first Way is about 2 to 4 hours I think. You can save, but save is deleted when you reload it. Don't mess up. You can leave town and end the game as well take any swords you collected with you. You do risk losing a swords if you die.

HOLY SHIT.
Specops: The Line, Bioshock and Bioshock 2 for a total of $20.
I haven't played Bioshock 2, but just the other two make this one of the best deals I've seen in gaming, ever. Do not miss out.
^
Bought the bundle and am now downloading Bioshock 1 and Spec Ops.
Time to see what CU has been talking about.
Hey, guys, does anyone want the Counter Strike: Global Offensive beta on Steam?
^I don't, but a friend of mine does. What's your Steam name?
grizzlyontheloose. Add me and I'll send it to you.

This makes me want to high-five the lead designer of SOtL even more than I already did.
I just read Zynga blatantly copies ganes - as in it's the exact same thing - from indy developers who would not have the cash to fight in court
I don't like Zynga :<
Good news then: they'll probably be bankrupt by the end of the year.
^It's a lesser evil thing, I mean I hate EA but would pick them over Zynga.
Not really. Zynga doesn't do any real major harm to the game industry as a whole, just perpetuate minor injustices in a small section.
That depends on your perspective. It could be argued that Zynga is stealing profit from good game designers and preventing them from acquiring resources for new projects, in turn damaging (or even destroying) creative endeavours with much to contribute to the game economy. EA is a bunch of shits, to be sure, though. I guess I'm just glad in this case that we have the bad guys set against one-another.
