"Charles, what the hell? Did you miss the part where we're hoping medical help arrives for them?" What's wrong with him? Not like he's the one who was bitten or anything . . .
Dynamo was just laughing his butt off
"No, you stop them from doing bad! That doesn't always involve hurting them!" Jackie facepalmed, getting some blood on her forehead.
Ray gave a passing glance to Jackie. She really needs to calm down. With that wound, exerting herself too much is just going to make things worse.
"Charles. Just follow me. We are leaving. Do not touch the rockets or their pokemon."
Dynamo wiped a tear from his eye as Charles moved Snow to his arms
"If no one has any objections, let's find the exit. Where is that Beldum?"
"Here!"
The Beldum floated from behind Cassie.
"Beldum, could you please show us the way forward?"
The Beldum floated towards the end of the cave, where the Rockets were. It seemed to be frustrated by the huge boulder.
Ray's brow furrowed. "So now another obstacle. Does anyone have any physical solutions? Brandon, perhaps?"
"No other way, huh? Do we have to move it or something? I suppose Brandon and I could gauge its weight." Jackie walked over to it.
Brandon followed her.
The boulder weighed less than it looked like it should, but it was still a solid rock. Neither of them could lift it, even lifting together, but perhaps working together, they could roll it.
Jackie pushed against it. "Come on, Brandon. Looks like we have to roll it. Anyone else want to help?"
"I would but..." Ray lifted his rather thin arms. "I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help." Wonderful, on top of all my failures today I make myself look physically invaid as well.
Brandon nodded. He placed his hands against it and began to push- to really push, as hard as he could.
"Sorry," Cassie shrugged from behind them. "I don't think I'd be much help."
The boulder starts to slowly move. It's nowhere near as fast, or as easy, as it would be if Brandon had learned Strength, but they can push it.
"There we go. PUSH!"
"Vuuuuul!" Agreed Phillip.
Charles gave Ray a dirty look. "You could help, you know!"
Ray shrugged. "Let's all do what we're best at now." good cheer filled his voice. The prospect of getting out of this damnable cave excited him.
The boulder finally rolled into place at the end of the tunnel, revealing an intersection- one passage going left, one going right.
"Phew," Jackie said. She looked left, then right. "Uhh . . . which way do we go?"
Greg looks glad to see the boulder aside, then slumps visibly upon seeing the intersection.
"Not another fork..."
Beldum nodded agreeably and followed the left-hand path.
"...Oh. Right. That works."
Greg follows.
"Presumably we'll be out soon, in Cerulean, and in proper beds." Ray said with a smile.
