    Regarding the "the last straw" approach, it's the mods' prerogative, the way they have to deal with people that are very disruptive but manage stay mostly within the rules. It might've affected someone you like now, but it's also how many other people were dealt with: Sloth Bait, rallyfan, Autarch, GuitarBizarre and, more controversially, Scrye. It might sound unfair, and sometimes it is, but I can't say I disapprove of it as a moderation tool.

    I don't remember Sloth Bait much at all.  Rallyfan was banned over his...being very allergic to people using animesque avatars and Japanese games in Forum Games threads.  And one count of telling the rules to go suck it after being warned to stop his behavior.

    Fast Eddie has said the fuck policies thing, but that was in relation to wiki editing policies, that he much prefer raise consciousness. IIRC was during the debate on rename policies.

    Conservative Libertarian (Yes, I know), kind of abrasive, one of the first bans in the forum, came and left long before most people here.

    That was quote-mined. In the context of the thread, he was clearly saying "rules" as in him being at odd with the tastes (anime, avatars, japan ect) and conventions of the forum, not the actual rules.
