    It didn't anger people so much as it amused many people, encouraging them to troll and mock.

    I agree you were cooling off, but perhaps it would have been better to do something such as take a breather and start over with a new username or something.

    Also, as a comment, I think that Fast Eddie should probably have banned your username.  Though in retrospect, you'd probably have easily made an alt nick and come back; Google-banning you might be useful in forcing a breather for everyone.

    As much as some of Changen's past behavior has been deplorable, I agree that he has shown signs of learning and maturing. If he wasn't banned before, it doesn't make sense for him to be banned now. If they're really using the "last straw" approach, it reeks to me of waiting for an excuse to ban him.

    ^^Yeah, it really has. If you follow the Edit Banned thread, you'll know that things have been weird since January. Lots of problem people have shown up in the last 2 and a half months, so they may have been stepping things up in response.

    DLC had a hatedom early on, but everyone else pretty much also got as sick of the hatedom as they were about DLC's habits themselves.  Not to mention that DLC herself toned it down anyway.  Also, the #yackfest IRC channel was created in the midst of DLC drama, and even that place quickly decided that DLC was old news and a shitty topic to wank about.

    Actually, I mean the people who continually flaunted their victim complex, came into threads regarding IJBM just to shit on the concept of debate, came into the IJBM2 fora just to shit on the concept of its existence, etc.

    Also, I'd be meaning GuitarBizarre if he hadn't already been banned on a similar «last straw» thread.
