  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
The pic itself wasn't that bad, but every single page on Danbooru has NSFW ads.
  • Poot dispenser here
Well, that's what you get for linking to Danbooru.

I assume you wouldn't have it on Safebooru?

  • They should have known about that anyway, from the context and my words.

And once again, Cassie did it too.
  • FE didn't like you mate, simple as that really.
  • Personal opinions should not justify administrative actions.

Letting personal opinions color actions is how Uganda has homosexuality punishable by death. Just sayin'.
  • It's Eddie's website. He can ban anyone he wants.

You may not agree with him--I know I often don't--but that doesn't change anything.
  • It's his site, unfortunately that means if he doesn't like you, your out. I do find it incredibly odd that he actually cared either way to be honest, I didn't think he paid attention to the forums.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I don't think he disliked you personally so much as hated the trouble the shitstorms that flocked to you tended to cause the mods.
  • "Personal opinions should not justify administrative actions. Letting personal opinions color actions is how Uganda has homosexuality punishable by death. Just sayin'."

There used to be a minor meme based around such overblown comparisons. Never caught on, but don't use those kinds of statements. They just sound like crap and they make you look lame.

  • ...You do know what Reductio Ad Absurdum is, right?
  • I thought it was an accepted form of argument rebuttal.
  • edited 2012-07-22 16:47:24

  • your argument is invalid.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Reductio Ad Absurdum, when used properly, is a valid argument that a lot of people think is a logical fallacy.

That said, the Uganda comparison isn't an example of Reductio Ad Absurdum anyway.
  • @Define Reductio Ad Absurdum
  • I'd still like someone to go to the Touhou thread and ask them about why they flipped out like they did.

Unless that's importing drama. Then don't do it.

^^It's where you say "If A were true, B would be true. B is so ridiculous it can't reasonably be true. Therefore, A is not true."

^I'm pretty sure it would be.
  • Late reply, but I wasn't banned. Granted, I was probably close to it anyway, but that doesn't count.
  • -huggles Bob Velvet-

  • If that don't work, use more gun.
Chagen: You didn't just annoy Fast Eddie, you created more a lot more work for the mods.  You were a recurring topic in Hollers.
  • Also, someone going into the Touhou thread asking for an explanation is not going to help your case. At all.
  • The reason Cassie wasn't banned is more likely because no-one could be bothered to report them, not because what they did was within the rules. Also I kind of doubt Fast Eddie is a prude somehow...
  • Quit being a whiny bitch and man up.
You'll be fine; take a week off and cool down.
  • Shit, I'm already lethargic and depressed without TvTropes. It took me an hour to get out of bed today, usually it doesn't take that long....

OK, without the hating now- I really think that's a real problem there. Especially since I see it a lot from other tropers, too. I recommend going out with friends or something to try and get back in the swing of things. If you can't do that, maybe with your parents? I don't know.

Basically, I'm not saying you HAVE to live without TV Tropes, but it seems to me like it's the only thing that matters in your life, and there's no way that can be a good thing, regardless of whether or not you enjoy your time there.

Your attachment to the place is annoying to me in a personal way, since when I was in high school I'd shut myself off from opportunity without even realising how much I was missing. It hit its peak at the time I refer back to as "The Worst Summer Ever", where I spent pretty much the whole time tabbing between about three websites, and barely speaking to anyone for about six weeks because I never made the effort to scout out anything else to do. It was boring as shit. But I was the one who made it boring. Most of the bands I listen to on a regular basis, for instance, wrote a lot of thier material before I'd even learned to speak, and whenever I listen to them I kick myself for not having done it sooner... The same applies to a lot of books as well.

If the weather is nice you might go on a long walk today (unless you're in the Tsunami zone!) and just forget about being banned for a little while.
  • I think walking is pretty pointless unless you have someone to walk with. Being on your own means you'll probably spend the whole time thinking to yourself, which is no fun.
