    That said, back-and-forth natter between members discussing how much an
    example fits a trope can sometimes be very useful in helping the reader
    understand the trope. So as long as such behavior isn't excessive, I
    leave it in, because I think it's helpful.


    I do find this annoying, but it really is helpful. When I see these, I try to condense it into a simple, non-contradictory statement, provided I know enough about the example to not be getting things wrong.

    So I actually kinda like the extra content. Though it would be nice if
    it were kept in side-panels or something other than the main text.


    Yeah, that's what I'd consider ideal.
