I'm still wondering why everybody is using CP. I'm starting to fear clicking links

    ^, ^^
  • You can change. You can.
Inkblot did it cuz he thought it was funny.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Well, he can go fuck himself, then.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
He posted a link to child porn.

    So amusing.
  • Was it actually a link to child porn or just a search for it?
  • You can change. You can.
Eh. To me it's an overreaction, but I can see why it bothers you. But I guess it's because if I learned anything is that every single link should be proofread before clicking on. Especially here where people link to questionable content all the time.
  • Clean your room little Billy

Times like this I'm glad to have only enough of an attention span to read 3 threads at most here at any one time.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
A search, but still enough to get anyone who clicks on it in trouble.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^^^^A search. So a link to a link.

Still, dick move of enormous proportions.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I don't find it an overreaction in the least. There's no part of basic society that deems this shit okay. (select creepy fucks on the intertubes don't count) This is something we all know is one of the worst crimes out there and we should not show even the least bit of tolerance for even being complicit in any way towards it.

I have to agree the permaban was the right move. But that said, remember clearing your browsing history is also a thing.

Especially here where people link to questionable content all the time.

True, you do have to watch out for stuff like this.

  • I'm fairly sure that those are illegal.

As in, Google notices, logs your IP and then tells the authorities about it.

It's a shame permabanning is probably going to be the most of his worries. Asshole.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    ^^-cautiously does a tinyURL preview-

Oh, how did I not see that coming.
  • I'm too scared to look D:

I noticed how everyone calls Ink an asshole yet with Vorpy it's all, "Vorpy's gonna vorp"

Just find it odd, is all
  • You can change. You can.
Lemme guess, you linked to a Questionable Content comic in a TinyUrl for a cheap joke?

    How predictable.

Anyway, there are ways to check for a tinyurl before it clicking on it

Again, I don't disapprove of the ban, but I do feel that it is an overreaction. But I won't oppose it.

    Ninja'd.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^^^^It's to the webcomic "Questionable Content."

^^^She's permabanned too. There's more discussion here because, seriously, this happened twice?!
  • I'd say a permaban is the right move if only because I can think of no other reason to post such a link, except for trying to get banned.

    @TinyURL: I expected a Rickroll
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Well, I actually liked Vorpy, (even when she seemed to like me, then hate me, then like me again) but that doesn't change that I think she still should have been banned.
  • No rainbow star
I realize Vorpy got permabanned. It's just odd how a lot more people seem neutral to Vorpy on this than they do to Ink
  • You can change. You can.
Because Vorpy did a stupid joke and realized that what she did was wrong. Inkblot knew the consequences of said actions and went full head on.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    -nevermind, pointless post-
  • But that said, remember clearing your browsing history is also a thing.

Except that not even that really helps. I mean, it helps, but it's still there.

Also, STOP MOVING SO FUCKING FAST, GAWD.

I also liked Vorpy, but that doesn't excuse what she did.
  • Vorpy, in many ways, is still sort of a child. Inkblot only did this to copy her, especially since we all specifically said how damaging this was to us. He did this just to hurt us in the worst way possible.
  • You can change. You can.
    OK, let's clear a misconception

You won't get arrested by a LMGTFY link to a cp google search. Both of those links/records can be easily deleted as well. So, I should tell you right away, that unless you live in Australia and your ISP deliberately logs your browsing info, nothing legally wrong can come from here.

With that said, said action is still morally reprehensible. But not legally so.
  • My mistake, I had thought that it was. Maybe it's an Australia only thing.
  • You can change. You can.
As far as I know, it depends on the ISP. Mine doesn't care about my internet and unless anyone has any reason to believe this laptop holds kiddie porn in any shape or form, then there's no reason for it to get checked out or for me to be arrested.
  • I thought it was a Google-specific thing (as in Google automatically logs it and then gets in contact with the ISP or Police or something) regardless of who your ISP is. I'm probably wrong though, since I can think of ways people could get around that.
