  • Huh, another grudge that gets in the way of categorizing tropes.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    I have a question.

What tropes, other than Caustic Critic, did it have?
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
    I replied.

  • Goddamnit Vorpy.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I agree with the decision to remove it, myself.

Seems like you can't describe its content without violating at least one TV Tropes rule anyway.
  • You can change. You can.
    I have posted.
  • You know, you don't have to talk here anymore, you guys have your platform.

Go on and speak on that platform now.
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
    Goddamnit Vorpy.
    ....the fuck is your problem?

AM I SUDDENLY NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE AN OPINION!? is explaining some of the reasons why it probably got deleted bad?
  • Cache.

    Huh, it's not very long.
  • It's okay, I was just kind of annoyed. You're entitled to your opinion.
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
Well think of it like this, if someone made a webcomic that mocked a bunch of tropers from Yackfest and OTC that they didn't like and overexaggerating stupid things they have said, I don't think that would be allowed to have it's own page, even if it's a real work.
  • You have a point.

Although I thought you were a defender of the series.
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
No, i don't encourage or support them.

That's far more tame than I expected. If it were mocking any other site, it would never have been cutlisted.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Yeah, but mocking other sites isn't specifically against any TV Tropes rules.
  • You can change. You can.
um, don't we have a whole antinegativity rule?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Er, more specifically, it's possible to write about sites dedicated to mocking other sites without implicitly mocking or hightlighting mocking of specific tropers.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
The thread is going nowhere. I give up.
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
    I give up.

    RRRRRRRRAGEQUIT.

    5.

    4.

    3.

    2.

    1!!

    VICTORY.

    -ding ding-

    -crowd applause-
  • Weirdly enough, I was thinking that it wasn't so bad to delete it. Then I looked at that thread again, and now I think that we shouldn't have deleted it.

Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
Say so before it get's locked then.
  • edited 2011-07-30 21:00:35
And like all threads before it, it goes nowhere because some idiot demanded a premature lock before any issues were resolved.

They say that the best thing to do about This Troper is to ignore them, but locking and deleting the page isn't ignoring them. It's yelling "I'M IGNORING YOU" in their faces.

I'd join Myr in that thread, but my account is gone and my opinions won't be considered if I just show up out of the blue with a new account.
  • Is it more professional to keep it, or to delete it?

It sends the message of "Criticise us and your work is blackballed from TV Tropes", whether Fast Eddie intends that or not.
  • Keeping it. To use a very extreme and only midly relevant example, Wikipedia has an Adolf Hitler page.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
We have a Busy Street page. Literally the only difference is that one thing is targeted at TVT, and the other is targeted at a different website.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
But it's not targeted at TV Tropes. It's targeted at tropers.
