X fans who say Y statements are always hilarious and should be cuddled until they bleed from the orifices on their faces.

    Y/N?

Doctor Who vrs. Superman = Dr. Who wins.

    You can change. You can.
Doctor Who vrs. Superman = Dr. Who wins.

The Doctor was murdered by a little girl in a space suit.

Superman just needs to pick the world's littlest rock and throw it twice. And he can pick pick it up because of super speed.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
The thing is, the Doctor generally has the plot bend to his advantage, whereas oftentimes the plot has bent to Superman's disadvantage.

Doctor who was probably the one to blow up Krypton, true story.

"The Doctor was murdered by a little girl in a space suit."

You know who that was and why it doesn't count.
  • a little muffled
Technically, we don't know who was in the suit.

    ...It must have been Superman!

^^He also committed genocide. Twice. Sent a guy into hell for fucking with...

and forgave one of the most unrepentantly evil men in the universe.

and forgave one of the most unrepentantly evil men in the universe.

Remember he planned to keep said man with him forever and ever. Probably because he knew there was no worse punishment for him in the whole universe.

Also, probably to try and clone him and create more time lords.
  • @Juan: and now the doctor has Rory with him at his side...

seriously, Superman is like a normal man compared to him.
  • You can change. You can.
Eh let's be honest, Rory is made of plastic. Clark is made of steel.

Although I don't see why they'd fight. They'd probably team up or something.

Now, the Doctor and Superman vs The Master and Darkseid, now that's something I wanna see.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^^Yeah, but it still bugs me that he deserved forgiveness while the doctor straight-up murders a whole bunch of people who were just... trying to survive.

Okay, the Silence weren't, but still.

^I always wanted to see a Doctor Who/ Pokemon crossover.

    "Pikachu!"

"Well, aren't you just the ca-yutest little concentration of bio-electric anomalies ever. C'mon, kiddie, I need some help with a forcefield the daleks have set up."
  • Glaives are better.
Between the Doctor and Rory, Superman doesn't have a chance. It's like giving the Green Lantern ring and a time machine to Batman.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Batman would actually make a really bad Green Lantern. It's been covered.

It'd be more like giving a Sonic Screwdriver and a time machine to Batman.

    You can change. You can.
But Superman is a time machine!

^He already has the Batbelt. :p
  • @Malk: really, that was covered? O_o

@Juan: Superman is still too goody-two-shoes to ever do what the doctor has to do.

    Yes, I went there.

    Blackest Night.

And I'd say that's a point towards Supes. At least, Superman doesn't ramble about being a force of good while destroying the Racnoss or comitting another genocide.
  • I always wanted to see a crossover where Clark Kent runs into a phone box to change into Superman, only to find it wasn't a phone box at all...

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^^Yep. Batman's obsession corrupts his willpower and would corrupt the rings power as well.

^^Dude, the doctor gives out holier-than-thou speeches like they're breath mints.
  • You can change. You can.
    I'm aware, Malk. that's my point. :p

    @The Conductor: FUND IT
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
At least, the Doctor doesn't ramble about being a force of good while destrying the Racnoss or comitting another genocide.

    ...am I misreading?
  • Crossover time, Problem switching power hour.

Dr.Who when presented with Superman's problems, and Superman when presented with Doctor Who's problems.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Superman finds creative ways to hit things like he always does.

The Doctor finds soft-science nightmares to solve things like he always does.
  • what I'm really saying is, you can't exactly judge who is "holier" when one set of problems and solutions is going to be different than others.
  • You can change. You can.
    ...am I misreading?

I miswrote. My apologies. It has been edited.

also, part of the problem is that the Doctor would easily deal with Supes out of space's problems (Such as DoomsDay and the like) but I'm fairly sure that Lex Luthor and Darkseid would be a problem.

    A big problem.
  • Superman vs. the Daleks XD
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^Luthor and the Doctor could have a big circlejerk about how great humans are. =P
  • You can change. You can.
It'd start like that, then Luthor would probably go and say something akin to "Meh, I'm better than them"

    And the Doctor would join.

    More circlejerk.

no longer cuddly, but still Edmond
    Tom Baker justifies everything.

Although, I wonder what does Doctor Who have to do with Superheroes?
  • You can change. You can.
Continuity issues, constant writer changes, different interpretations of the character while always keeping similar traits to them, constant cast changes (Sidekicks/companions), and the occasional treatment of both superheroes and the Doctor as mythology (Although that one comes with Moffat's love for storytales and the use of urban legends in his narrative, like the Easter Egg from the Doctor Who, to cite a...mundane example)
  • no longer cuddly, but still Edmond
It does annoy me how New Who sometimes devolves into everybody talking about how great and awesome the Doctor is. One of the reasons I prefer the old series--he's always treated as just a person by people who don't know who he is, a particularly skilled person by his friends and a particularly annoying person by his enemies.

I honestly never found any of that stuff is as huge an issue with Doctor Who as it is with your average comic book. Doctor Who normally has tight continuity, and even when it doesn't... its a show about a time traveller. Come on. Doctor Who was always written by an ensemble of writers, while most comics are controlled by a specific writer or team for years on end. And those aren't interpretations--when he dies, he becomes a new person.
