    It's about girls who become magical girls.

    Only not really because it's actually about HOW CAN WE MAKE A MAGICAL GIRL SERIES AS POINTLESSLY GRIMDARK AS POSSIBLE and also [the main character doesn't actually become a magical girl for at least half the series (though, it'll almost certainly not be until the ending, if at all)]

    That said, it's still really good.

    Oh, also it's by SHAFT.

    So it's very... SHAFT-y.

    I've only seen up through episode 3, since I'm watching it with my anime club.

    Not that I'm surprised she hasn't done it yet. I'm not positive that she's even going to.

    I don't see how Centrar is any more accurate, really...  I think it'd be more like Sentoraru-sama if you wanted to be really sort-of-kind-of-not-really-but-almost-close-enough to how a Japanese person would say it.

    I'm pretty sure "l" is closer to the sound found in Japanese than "r."

    Indeed. I think it has to do with the way English was (very poorly) taught there right after WWII, based on talking to my godmother.

    Oh man, I loved Sailor Moon. Not ironically at all, it was totally sweet anime and even when I was a kid, I seem to have loved anime like a true otaku. But I just love the series to this day. That said, anyone have a favorite sailor?

    Mercury is cute and smart, Mars is pretty awesome, and so is Jupiter.  Saturn is adorable.  And finally, Pluto, because she is so a full member of the Sailor Senshi and not a fucking dwarf.
