My boyfriend has also been saying that a lot recently...
In my opinion, I would rather leave peacefully in a few years with my boyfriend and then cut all ties without much of a fuss, since that would be less...traumatic...for everyone involved. Not to mention the whole "Throw him in a nursing home!" style of revenge, albeit, I have a hard time believing I'd go through with it.
Back on topic!
Health class, out of all of them (second to maybe Biology/Science, in some cases, due to wrongness) is the worst.
It is a Bible class under the guise of a Health class, with little tidbits of information on your body thrown in to ensure that they can't get sued. (if they could get sued in the first place, that is.) I should not have to recite a Bible verse in High School Health. Nor should I have to come up with an answer as to how it is my Christianly duty to keep my body healthy.
(Also, I apologize if I'm necro-ing this, meant to post last night but never got the chance due to storms.)

Hmm, this isn't Pensacola Christian College / A Beka Books.
> Math is just incredibly inept in its execution, especially when it comes to Algebra and Geometry. Example: A question may be answered with either a mixed number or improper fraction. The computer will only want the improper fraction. The school does not warn you of this in any way.
This just sounds like the interface was designed very shittily.
> I am actually taught that dinosaurs walked with man, and that Noah carried them on his Ark.
> Wouldn't it make more sense to claim that Noah didn't carry them?
This. So totally this.
It's a lot more inept than it seems...
That pic in the OP reminded me of this.
I'm going to ask, am I right in thinking that my school...isn't...exactly...good?
What I meant was that simply favoring explanations that are simpler, without regard to whether they are accurate.
And yes, you are correct in observing that your homeschool program is...lacking.
I'm not really sure how to respond to Fargle, it's extremely difficult for me to be sure what to say to things like that. I suppose that all I really can say is that you don't really have to worry about me getting trapped into thinking that I owe them (that...got crushed a few months ago...it's a long story) and that I do plan on leaving here as soon as my boyfriend has the resources to allow me to do so.
Chances are, I'll elaborate more on my father and the rest of my family situation in a later thread, since...this one is supposed to be about my homeschool and poking fun at just how inept it is.
Once again, thank you.
Not to mention, getting a good laugh out of it makes it worth SOMETHING.
She's funny, if cruel.
I've been doing my best, albeit, I have to do this whilst also ensuring that neither the school nor my parents know that I'm doing it, which is...difficult.
I meant exposing the school.
The real issue as far as control over my personal life is my father...
He keeps coming up...
I will say that my medication *has* been refilled since that incident, but he's done a lot of other stupid things since then.
This is partially for entertainment purposes, after all.
Thankfully, I went to a public high school.
