  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I was homeschooled. I got a decent education out of it, but at the cost of crippled social skills by the time I started highschool.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
WOOOOO PUBLIC SCHOOL ALL THE WAY WOOOOOO

Seriously though, that sucks. :l I'm sorry, man.
  • I went to public school, but for me the actual schooling was secondary to having social skills that aren't horrible.
  • I've been in homeschooling since Kindergarten, and my father's demonized public schooling since then, using it as a sort of boogyman to keep me from really failing.

My social skills...could be better, I've been trying my hardest to acclimate to things, but for the most part, I think I'm doing okay.

Also, @Ian, will PM you the link, would also be happy to post in thread if everybody else wants it.
  • I want to see it.
  • Would it be alright to post a link to megaupload in the actual forum?

I know that it's quite subjective from forum to forum, and I don't want to get in trouble for doing something without knowing whether or not it is okay first.
  • Could you PM me the link as well?

Ah, knew I was forgetting something.

I checked the rules and didn't see anything about Megaupload, so I'll go ahead and post in-thread. If the mods wish for me to remove the link, I will gladly oblige.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2WI22BD8 - My schoolwork from last year.

    - My Biology and History from this year (incomplete, as I'm still actually *working*)

EDIT: I'm making a lot of stupid mistakes tonight...Megaupload link for Biology and History went back to schoolwork from last year, so...hehe...my apologies.
  • I normally feel really bad about bumping threads, as well as double posting, however, I just wanted to be sure that everyone knew that I fixed the megaupload link.
  • They work.
  • Ah. Good ^.^ now I just hope everyone can open the XPS files, or, at the very least, the .TXTs for the projects.

Especially "Examine Yourself". That one is my favourite.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
Have you noticed an increased desire to be like christ?
  • No, but some nights, on a full moon...
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
    Aha found on about evolution.

    ...

It claims that evolution goes against genetics :s

When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
    HAHAHA WAT

Next your going to be telling me they believe in abiogenesis.
  • Glorious...this school teaches Young Earth Creationism...

I am actually taught that dinosaurs walked with man, and that Noah carried them on his Ark.
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
But they don't believe in abiogenesis, right?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Wouldn't it make more sense to claim that Noah didn't carry them?
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
    :o
I missed the files that have the dinosaur walking/ark floating. What are their names?
  • I don't think that they've even taught me what that means...

Knowing them, they'll teach me about that later this year.

@Inuh, have you ever heard of a man named Ken Ham?

He wrote my Biology curriculum, according to my reference sources.
  • @Ian, those were much earlier, as in, 7th-6th grade. Not in that set.
  • They can't teach abiogenesis, it directly conflicts Creationism.

I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
Oh so like basic stuff you should know already :D

Also the mother earth project is a bit weird.

  • Chagen, probably why they don't give me the solution to Red Shift.

It would corroborate with the Big Bang theory. Ultra-fast quasars appear to be moving at 300% the speed of light because the distance between us and them is expanding. We're moving away from them as they move away from us.

And Ian, those lessons I gave you? 10th and 11th grade.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
I have no idea about grades (UK schooling) so the ones you uploaded were for ages of 15-16?
  • I am currently in 11th grade, and I turned 17 this year.

the 10th grade is for 15-16 year olds.
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
BUT DO THEY TEACH YOU ABIOGENESIS
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
    Ah ok.

The teaching is a bit light of what I'd expect/what I'd had in comparison.
Not to mention the religious meddling.
  • They do not teach me abiogenesis, Glorious.

They do, however, teach me that mental illness is just a sign that you are a sinner and that you need to repent.
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
Wow, that's almost as bad. Shit. At least you have the rest of the Internet.
