This is amazing! The WYSIWYG editor sucked!

Though it's temporary, huh? Oh well.

EDIT: Also, I realized that many of the things I thought I didn't like about the WYSIWYG editor are actually problems with Vanilla itself, and presumably the default editor would then share those problems.

I'm not really a big fan of it. Especially now that I've discovered that it runs on HTML.

UE and I were trying to figure out whether it worked with BBcode, and it does not.

What can I say; I like being able to type out all the formatting, so I can type up a draft in notepad.

Though I've also discovered that the default editor does autosave for drafts.

Well, the default editor is actually what I call "LJ code". Basically, over in LiveJournal, things like newlines are treated as is, but you use HTML to insert italics/bold/underline and links and images. This is different from raw HTML, but also not BBcode nor rich text.
