^No, it was one of the vote options; it lost.
And even if it had won, it would have only been a 30% discount.
I know, I meant it was up for a vote.
So I decided to get Psychonauts. It was five bucks and I was meaning to buy it sometime.
Would this basically require a gamepad, by any chance?
And I also thought about buying Amnesia, but I'll wait til the price goes down even further.
I don't think so, though it's been awhile since I played it.
Oh, hey, Bastion won the latest one.
That's another one I'd put in the "get it if you don't have it" category. Excellent game.
As for the next vote...that's quite a trio. I'm going with Just Cause 2 because it's the one I don't have.
I voted Bastion, but I think I'll get the 360 version when I actually get that game.
Current purchases: Psychonauts, Bastion, and a few TF2 items.
I'm down to two dollars and 35 cents. If only I had a few cents more...
Is the Steam Summer Sale or the Steam Holiday sale usually bigger? If the Holiday one is bigger, then I think I'll just let this sale pass.
There's about the same. This one feels bigger to me because of all the flash sales.
It's certainly more of a pain in the ass having to check it every few hours. And wondering if I missed something in the middle of the night >
From my perspective, this one has so far felt smaller since there's now chieve-whoring reward.
Anyway, people on SteamGifts have noticed a pattern: http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/xIxnB/community-choice-is-a-gimmick
Also, remember how some of you were encouraging me to get Farming Simulator 2011 just to see how hilarious it would be?
I think we've got an even better idea here: http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/AIp5O/revelations-2012
Yeah, that is fairly obvious, but community choices are easier to notice than flash sales; I think I've missed a few of the latter.

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/15384/
AudioSurf, Gemini Rue, Greed Corp, The Tiny Bang Story, and Ys: the Oath of Felghana...all for $9.99!
...and since I still have
a copyan instance* I wanna offer to trade anyone here Recettear for this bundle.(though i feel like a dirty capitalist to ask this...)
* that's the technically correct term, right?
Also, I don't have any of the Indie Bundle V games yet. Which is nice because the bundle doesn't give you extra copies of games you already have.
you too, huh
Also bought Metro and Dear Esther.
I was worried because it said I'd already bought it, but sure enough there was a few hundred MB waiting for me to download after.
I played experienced Dear Esther back when it was free, and...never really saw what the big deal was.
How is Dear Esther?
I've heard some pretty good things about it, but...would like to hear criticisms of it.
^^It's one of those things that attempts to display the storytelling potential of games by removing the game part.
^^ FYI the packs are apparently 2497.9 MB.
Also I just bought KOTOR because I lost one of the CD's a while back. At least it only set me back $2.49.
Bought Cave Story as another "it's $2.50, why the fuck not" purchase. Like the others, I'm not sure when or if I'll actually play it. (I know there's a free version, but still, $2.50 for a little extra content is okay with me.)
Cave Story is, to me, firmly in the "it's available for free; why would I buy it again?" category.
Doesn't help that I actually liked the graphics better in the free version.
