Guh. Finally couldn't take my dad's idiocy any longer (he was saying that all the people in the maritimes "pissing and moaning" about being unable to find work should just relocate to Alberta and fill jobs here)
I replied, "What if they can't afford it?"
He said that somebody would pay to bring them here (IE the government that my dad pisses and moans about taking taxes and about how they should cut social programs, such as, oh, I don't know... Programs that allow for relocation? Unless he meant employers would pay the money in which case: HOW DO THEY GET THE JOB IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO EVEN GET HERE FOR AN INTERVIEW!?)
When I probed more ("So what about homes, food, and so on?"), he said that that stuff gets covered too for those with Trade based jobs (e.g. plumbers, welders, etc.)
One: So what about the other people?
Two: Those jobs tend to be easier to get anywhere as those are pretty damn vital jobs
Three: So either the Government pays for all this (I highly doubt that. Besides, these are the sorts of programs that would be cut if my dad had his way), or the employer does in which case I want to get on board this fantasy train
Funny thing is, my dad was poor at one point. My mom would go without eating to make sure my brother and I could eat, we stuck to the walls of the trailer we lived in when it was winter, and so on
And now he has a 100K+ salary a year
Yet he calls himself unlucky
And he says crap like the earlier
Just... GAH!
I swear I am going to get an info packet put together with highly detailed arguments as to why his political views are horrid, why execution sucks, why social programs are good, etc. before I move four years from now, and hopefully knock some sense into him
Let this be a lesson to you all: being a Nintendo fanboy never pays off.
Ever.
I mean seriously I just wanna play cool games (the 3D is just a lame gimmick) but all you get are things like NINTENDOGS + CATS and MAHJONG CUB3D while the Vita gets KINGDOM HEARTS BIRTH BY SLEEP and motherfucking MEGA MAN X MAVERICK HUNTER
If you didn't cost so much money, I'd dunk you in the garbage bin.
Forever.
yeah, the new fire emblem is on the ps vita, and the new shin megami tensei as well.
^
I...think I need a moment...
wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
what
I am being fascetious, both titles are for the 3DS
YOU INGRATE! Birth By Sleep and Maverick Hunter are PSP titles, they don't count for the Vita.
oh.
don't do that you gave me a faux-heart attack
Unless Fire Embem gets a new owner, there is no way that a FE ever gets a release on a non-Nintendo console.
"nontendo", for short
...what don't you understand, Bastion? :P
the 3DS gets Kingdom Hearts 3D too
Juan: I can't figure out what made you ask that, so I guess that means that question is the answer to itself?
I thought you knew enough Spanish to get that one. Anyway, I don't understand translates in English as "No entiendo" which in certain places (read: colombia) is shortened too "noentendo"
I did not know it was shortened like that. I feel like I learned something!
By accent/pronunciation rather than actual grammar.
People here usually joke video games are called "Nientiendo" as well. I must turn in for the night, I trust juan can explain that one.
Well, the fated moment has arrived. Soon, I will depart for the land of dragons (probably not called that but whatever trying to sound cool). PEACE OUT, Y'ALL!
*Does peace signs* STILL NOT A CROOK.
can i replace the crook as a mod
no
Evidently Cashier jobs are so complex that they require two interviews.
That said, the fact that I was invited for a second could only be a good thing.
It's that time again INUH. That time to go hunting through your computer and purge all the useless crap you have on it taking up space. Well that's what I do like once a year and man do I facepalm at some of the stuff I end up deleting.
So I just got back from the library and I got You Suck by Christopher Moore, a Vampire comedy novel that was perplexingly not in the fantasy section. Lamb was pretty great so I have good hopes. Also, I got a Michael Moorcock book I've never read but it's one of the Eternal Champion books so it's kind of sort of an Elric book.
I also got Game of Thrones and my big thing with Martin's books (and many other fantasy writers) is how goddamn dense and big it is. I'm a slow reader and so stuff like that can be frustrating to read.
I understand that the target audience for Smile Precure is younger than the main characters of the show, and if they want to show the characters as being bad at a subject they have to use examples that even the people watching the show would think are easy, but it's a little unbelievable when a 14 year old can't figure out what 1+2+3+4 is...
(evidently, math problems are the only thing that can break my suspension of disbelief)
Oh, hey, the Favicon finally updated for me
I always regret getting rid of something later down the line. It's annoying.
