Do Benders unfairly enjoy disproportionately greater socioeconomic status in Republic City and the world at large due to having the ability to manipulate the forces of nature? Does Amon have a point in that bending has been the cause of all the world's conflicts? Is getting rid of Benders entirely a good idea given the clear benefits that non-Benders enjoy because of Bending? Is the oppression of non-Benders due mostly to Bending being wielded as a weapon by Republic City's criminal elements, or is there a greater issue of socioeconomic discrimination? Are the Equalists simply a reactionary group painting the Bending population at large in broad strokes? How big a majority are Benders in society, anyway?
THESE ARE ALL IMPORTANT QUESTIONS.
AND NONE OF THEM WILL BE ANSWERED.
Time to go dream of abusing my new powers.
Night.
@Wicked: And then, the show turned into The Wire with chinese culture.
"You're in Republic City. The gods can't save ye" indeed.
Hey, if you're hallucinating, does that mean you're unfit for the job?
He must be dealt with...
Forzare, did you recently buy Syldris?
>Are the Equalists simply a reactionary group painting the Bending population at large in broad strokes?
I felt this was pretty implicit.
Also, goddamn every time I get onto facebook this one girl starts talking to me about her ex.
aha what
You can't spell subtext without buttsex.
Legionnaire: Did you read the entire article?
Charlie Brooker's a comedian, so.
I just downed 24 oz of shitty Wafflehouse coffee and I'm still tired. I hate this time of the semester.
Finals and stuff, I'm guessing?
So, Dragon's Dogma looks pretty good.
That it is.
@ Juan: Final project. I have till next Tuesday to mix and master 4 songs, and because the trumpet play is hard as fuck to get to commit to coming into the studio, I have to do two overdubs for the last two songs tomorrow when they should have been done a week ago.
I'm doing some prep work for setting up the mixing phase right now, but it's tedious as all get out.
I'm enjoying the idea of a game with Dark Soul's sense of space being made into an open-world Bethesda-style affair where the focus is on brutalising a fantastic menagerie of large wildlife.
Samurai: Oh shit, man. Best of luck with all of that.
I sat through all eight pages of the FWS thread and I came out as sane as I ever was.
Oh, and here's a picture that accurately sums up my thoughts on Pokemon B/W shipping in general.
The tracking part part shouldn't be too bad, only an hour at most, but I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about the mix for "Katherine". Everyone is playing loud as all get out on the second half of the tune and I have to figure out a way to mix a regular trumpet part, a muted trumpet and a trumpet solo and make all of the sound distinct, not to mention the drum kit, bass, guitar piano, clarinet and bass clarinet. @_@
And I have no idea why my artist wants a over-driven bass sound on "Finally", given that this is a jazz record (well, more jazz rock I suppose).
Yeah, Dragon's Dogma is a nice mix of Dark Souls with Oblivion's open-world and Monster Hunter's big wildlife hunting.
some bassists want to watch their world burn amps overdrive and explode.
but seriously, ew, overdriving bass. why would you do that if you're not cliff burton
Any idea how diverse Dragon Dogma's character building is? If there's stealth, I'd like to go for a sort of Aragornesque character (in b4 predictabo) who, while being good offensively sword-to-sword, is more of a woodsman sniper when he can help it.
There appears to be a stealth class (Assassin).
speaking of which I really should play Thief.
Speaking of Thief, I really can't wait for Dishonored
