Nowadays, to me, it's just another website akin to all those fan wikias: a mostly harmless way to kill time.
Is it odd that my boredom impetus was Forum Games degenerating from entertaining community-based creativity threads to inane "React to the post above" shenanigans?
I just want to say that this show has pretty much the best title sequence of any show ever.
Crap, I made it to 40m in QWOP (after about 5 minutes) before messing up on the calves.
That's 35m more than my previous record.
^^ Pretty much.
Fun fact, the locations they show change depending on what locations are shown in the episode.
Speaking of Game of Thrones, I have to give props to the actor who plays Joffre: he plays one of the most convincing "monstrous little amoral prick" roles I've ever seen. That scene in yesterday's episode with the whores... I get creeped out just thinking about it.
That's partly why I love it so much.
Yeah, that kid's got talent.
That scene was almost harder to watch than the thing with the baby a few episodes ago. I don't think I've ever hated a character more than Joffrey.
>take over as treasurer, get keys to frat's committee boardroom
>table is standard spot when couples get a tad frisky at parties
>mfw when realizing the troll potential of this
Also, during a seminar today a dudette suggested some artist depicted the Palestinian Conflict from a certain angle because his surname sounded Jewish. The uncomfortable silence that filled the room and her frantically backpedalling were hilarious.
@ Zelda II 3D:
Lol wut
New moneymaking scheme - doing virtual makeovers for girls at school for a price. The business is conducted over Facebook. After half an hour I already have two finished orders, and will collect my money tomorrow. >
The best part about Joffrey is that Jack Gleeson is such a nice guy. He had trouble saying cunt onscreen because he thought it was too mean.
On a less fuzzy note, a game comes with a blowup doll. O_O
O.o
Like, the actual sex kind, or just a doll that happens to be inflateable? Because I really don't want to believe it's the former.
Can't imagine that being good for sales.
^^ No idea.
^ It's only for the special edition, which is $10 more.
That is... kinda pathetic, really. The comments are especially disappointing.
Well, they're blog comments, so that's a given.
Who can even get aroused by an inflatable doll? Those things are disgusting.
I really wish Agarest War was actually fun.
It's like... everything bad about SRPGs in one game.
And yet I still want to play through it because fuck if I know why.
Oh Milos...
Sweet Jesus.
So I've heard good things about The Name of The Wind. Any confirmation or denial on that?
Best fantasy novel I've read, even beating out the Dresden Files books.
@Firebert: I know sex sells and all, but seriously? -_-
-nevermind-
I don't think I like it better than Dresden Files, but The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear are damn good books.
It's not the story that made it win out, FWIW, but that I feel like the writing itself is more elegant than that of The Dresden Files.
@ MrW: The same company sent out a boob mousepad with the game's prequel.
@ non-creepy convo: My favorite fantasy novel is probably Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell.
I won't argue there.
Though my very favorite fantasy series is probably the Mistborn trilogy, even more than the Dresden Files. I haven't read it in a while though.
Dresden Files is deliberately mimicking Hammet-Chandler type novels, but I'll give them a shot.
Without the dresden files, there would be no Forzare.
