Yeah, I just linked it cuz the guy expressed his dislike for D&D and cuz, like, i forgot i can reblog things for a moment >_>
Yeah, honestly I disagree with that article entirely. Alignments are guidelines for your character, not dominators. Which isn't to say some players (and supplements admittedly) take it far too literally, it still works as a nice splat to give an approximation of where your character lies, especially since most D&D games are actually worlds of black-and-white morality.
There's something stupidly fun in trying to categorize real life figures and characters from non-D&D media using the alignment system. It's a dumb system, inapplicable to anything other than strictly black-and-white settings, but it's still oddly fun.
Oh yeah, there's a pretty great one that has various different Batmans in all the alignments.
He does say that it works in black-and-white settings. But he argues that there's no emotional appeal in these, which I can't agree with, really.
I can't fail to remember that one time when a nerdy classmate made a class alignment chart and I was Lawful Evil.
Let me guess: opposite political views?
^^^^Somebody needs to watch Nolan's Batman movies.
^^ Because it's not the same as Sonic 2 or Sonic 3&K.
Unless it is, then it's because it is.
Making a complex plan to get as good grades as possible while studying as least as possible, going through with it and succeeding. Also, OCPD tendencies.
From an RP perspective, doofus.
I stand by my statements.
In any case, it sounds to me that he's one of the people can't accept stats as abstractions and instead insist they need to be taken super-literally. I wonder what he thinks about vampire's humanity stat.
^^ Meh, I'm not really interested in defending some internet rant about a game I don't care for
Instead let's discuss something of great importance: Is Black Mirror worth the annoying download time I'd face in order to get it?
I'm digging the hell out of it. The art is beautiful and it's really interesting. I say yes.
Ok, so that's a vote for hell no. Downloading.
Also, have you tried out American Vampire yet?
I have the first issue somewhere in my download folder. I remember giving it a read at two AM, but I was too tired to understand what was even going on, so, make of that what you will.
My mother just tried to make some point about Italians first coming into California, using Porky Pig as a frame of reference.

Man, today's one of those days when I really wish I had done [insert action that I could have done a long time ago and wouldn't leave me in the situation I am in right now]
Hey, guys. Turns out GMH is a turtle.
What does that make Unknown Entity?
Hmm. Good question. Whatever it is, it's probably an animal that's dear to my heart.
Longfellow's obviously a snake. Not sure about INUH. Probably a dog. :>
EDIT II: Shit, it's quarter of 10.
Welp, I convinced my father to read the first book of The Night Angel Trilogy so long as I read Christopher Tolkien's Unfinished Tales.
Let's see how this goes.
Only like 45 hours left on the Double Fine Adventure Kickstarter.
I just dropped some money on it, and so should you.
I was a backer, then I cancelled when I realized that they had absolutely no idea what they were going to do except that it was going to be an adventure game.
I'm interested enough to drop 15 dollars and see where this goes.
And Tim Schafer generally makes good stuff.
Whether I donate 15 bucks isn't going to make a difference regarding whether this game gets made. If it comes out and it's good, I'll buy it. That's like a 99% probability, but I'd still like to know something about a product before I buy it.
