    The way it works is that for each purchase of the book, the author gets royalties. Often, this is around a buck per final purchase.

    I bought it at the Susquehanna University bookstore on Monday. And I had three other opportunities before that in previous college visits, but didn't; I kinda snapped this time and was like "fuck it, if they're gonna keep pressing it on me, I'll grab it."

    I was at a Borders Express a couple weeks ago, with the closing sale.  I had it in my hand.

    I put it back, because there was a big Borders about a block away, and I figured they'd have a better selection, and I could buy all the books I wanted at once.  So I left and went there.

    The line went from the cash register and made a loop around the store. 

    I said, "fuck that noise," and went back to the Borders Express, which had like two people in it.

    I couldn't have been gone twenty minutes.

    Watchmen was gone.
