  • Well, Maduro had agreed to make a full count of votes, but apparently that won't happen. He's going to be declared president at 8:00 pm Venezuelan time (in 4.5 hours as of this post), and Capriles called for a protest then.

This is disheartening, to say the least.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Apparently another bomb went off at a library, based on what I just heard at a gas station.
  • There was one bomb at the Boston Marathon, and one at the JFK Presidential Library. This has been the second bomb related incident in the last couple of weeks.
  • There was apparently not actually a bomb at the JFK library, just a completely unrelated electrical fire that people are mis-reporting as a bomb.

  • Taken from SA here is what is known about the bombing

    1) Two explosive devices went off within 20 seconds of each other at the finish line of the marathon. A better YouTube link can be found here

    2) An individual was seen on video placing backpacks inside the trash cans that exploded at the finish line.

    3) No other devices have been found. Boston Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams may be using controlled explosions to eliminate suspected explosive devices, as they are investigating every backpack and suspicious device, but no other devices have actually been found.

    4) 2 people are dead, multiple injured.

    5) The fire at the JFK Library is not believed to be related at this time.

  • Haha, this is rich, the birdbrain couldn't win a lopsided election, he thinks he can be a dictator!
Man, everybody is doing the hitting the pot thing, that's sooo 2002s. How fitting.
  • I told you a hundred times Seibah, I don't want you in my pool

Just assassinate the guy, start a Trotsky revolution and throw the opposition in Gulags. It made Russia into an international super power.

  • "you duck spawn, refined creature, you try to be cynical, yokel, but all that comes out of it is that you're a dunce!!!!! you duck plug!"

Just for the record, I hereby declare I didn't break saladofstones' password and have nothing to do with the post above.

I happen to work for the Illuminati, and I know full well that what you just said is complete bullshit, you surrender monkey.

So from what I could tell in one afternoon the guy seems to have lost the loyalty of half the TV stations. That gotta hurt. The chavists should just ditch him already.

Edit: Potty time. Yeah, they def. should ditch him and keep their posts, I don't want Capriles to have a state monopoly, either.

There put all of my music in one big folder because that is clearly the most efficient way to listen to music

I thought there were two other unexploded devices discovered nearby?

  • A Mind You Do NOT Want To Read

...my nan finally kicked it today.

  • I prefer to think of them as millions of millions of explosions going off at once.

    It's pretty rad.

I only managed to answer about 71% of the possible marks worth of answers, and I was uncertain on about half of that. I only need 45% to pass the course

Please oh please let me pass/have the exams spontaneouslt combust
  • Welp, there's been violence in protests already, and Maduro and his cronies don't seem reluctant to use repression or confrontation...

  • I told you a hundred times Seibah, I don't want you in my pool

    My condolences as well, Fuschlatz.

  • Well, that's it, it's either a civil war or a totalitarian dictatorship now.

I just want Venezuela to be a normal country again...

I guess if I say something like that I should elaborate.

Capriles called for a protest yesterday (a pacific one, he was clear on this). There was violence involving killings and property destruction anyways (according to the rumor mill, some of which was staged by the government), now tomorrow there's the big march for the audit at the National Electoral Council's office in Caracas, and Maduro declared he wouldn't allow it, that he would "radicalize" the revolution, sent motorcycle bands around, there's just been violence from the officialist side, and he's called for an investigation on pretty much all the leaders of the oppository coalition MUD.

  • Has friends besides tanks now

Uh, wow. I guess I can only hope that things start to sort themselves out sooner rather than later. I wish I had a more intelligent contribution I could offer up, but I still wish you the best of luck.

  • Kichigai birthday!!
Is there any way you could get out of the country? I don't want to be pessimistic but in case things escalate...

Well, I have relatives in the US, one of which owns a company involved in importing stuff from there, I should be graduating this year, and I can get certificates for various languages, so that should make getting a visa easy, or not, I dunno, Juan help.

Awww, fuck, the government is not in good standing with our public (autonomous) universities, Maduro might try doing something to mine.

  • No rainbow star
D: How did this even happen? Weren't there ANY checks in place?
  • There are plenty, but for various reasons most of the government's high positions have been filled with fervently pro-Chávez individuals (although, perhaps hopefully, not necessarily pro-Maduro).
