    One of the things about TTGL that's actually pretty brilliant is that it never lets Simon and by extension the audience get too comfortable with his support group. Examples: [Kamina gives him self-confidence: BAM! He dies. Nia convinces him to believe in himself and he falls in love: BAM! She's an emissary of the Anti-Spiral. The show does everything to keep from being static or comfortable.]
