If you haven't already, check a walkthrough on how to get it. Getting it is something one can hardly figure out.
Jump at the red ribbon, and leave someone lying on a bed.
Also, preferably, don't take the machine gun.
I think the ways to get a good ending were tacked on afterwards, which is why the story makes sense, the script make sense, but the exact gameplay actions to trigger the good ending don't.
Alright, who replaced Glenn with the Oracle of Delphi?
Well, whatever, new 2D Zelda (2D gameplay, not necessarily 2D graphics) gets thumbs up from me. I was going to get a 3DS for Pokémon anyway.
Anyhow, got Fire Emblem: Awakening a couple of days before street release. Only on chapter 1 ATM. Chrom/My Unit double teams are the best thing.
Except for Zelda II, you mean.
The sources I looked at made it seem like it was the real title, but looking further it looks like it probably is a working title. I still find it odd.
Earthbound is coming to the US for the first time in 18 years, and also to Europe for the first time, well, ever.
Not only that, but that shockingly promising Square-Enix game Bravely Default is getting a release in the US and Europe too. And Europe gets it this year, too.
Nintendo is on their game this year.
Game & Wario is releasing close to my birthday. Hmm...
They're FINALLY importing Earthbound. About fucking time.
Breath of Death and bonus boss completed on Hard. Dragonduck isn't actually hard since he can only attack one person at a time and you probably have potions coming out of your ass by the time you fight him, but he has a metric shitload of defense so he takes forever to kill and multi-hit attacks don't do anything but build up a Cross Slash to chunk off the last third of his HP all at once.
If anything, the random encounters in his cave were considerably more dangerous. Moreso since Dem and Erik will be completely dry on MP by the time the boss dies.
On that note, random encounters on the whole tend to be more dangerous than bosses with only a couple exceptions, mostly because you HAVE to pick up perks that specialize you as a bosskiller.
> Earthbound re-release in the US
In other Nintendo news, SMT IV is coming out in July and all pre-orders are being upgraded to collector's editions.
If I didn't already have a 3DS:
Is that Eario?
Luigi
I know but it's funnier when I think it's Eario.
I keep getting this itch to teach myself coding and actually buckle down and make games, but then I keep realizing that I can't make art for shit, so no can do
Doodle in class and learn to use GIMP to curve-fit it. That's all you need for the sort of thing you're likely to start out with in programming.
If you start working with 3D, pick up Blender and export everything as .obj, which is about as easy to parse as you'll ever see. If you want to get really fancy with optimizing, write a converter to turn .obj into a formatted binary dump like I did to get my senior project running quicker. On a related note, they really need to make an OpenGL extension that can read a .blend file, seeing how Blender is written in OpenGL.
I suggest this book.
If you have a strong background in programming already, I suggest XNA. Say what you like about Microsoft, but they put out a hell of an indie dev kit.
