    To be honest, Chagen would probably be more miffed that his thread got locked without him getting a chance to respond than he would about a derail/rename.

    My opinion: We should wait. I don't think anyone will be in the mood of following on the derail after this. If Chagen minds, then...I don't know, we continue the discussion he proposed, but if people want to follow on that derail then it must be done.

    Why? Because the community must be aknowledged. and if the community wants a fun, safe derail without personal attacks (Which is something only seen once in a while around these days) then it must be done.

    If you mean collectivist as in "The community over the individual" then yes, I believe that the majority here deserves the right to choose over the minority. One single voice doesn't matter to the mods. Millions of voices do.
