    Diet NEET

    >Israel more succesful economically because of its culture

    >plays up age-old stereotype of grubby jews

    Lol, unintentionally hilarious.

  • ...so he doesn't realize that maybe Palestine has other problems hindering its economy besides "culture"? Wow, even for Romney that's a new low. (For that matter, how dense do you have to be to cite Guns, Germs and Steel when making this argument? Even if you haven't read it, it's right in the title that 'culture' isn't the author's answer to that question.)

  • The saddest thing about this to me is that it probably won't cost Romney votes.

  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
So The Hobbit is officially going to be three movies.

I’m conflicted. On the one hand, I trust Peter Jackson, and I know he loves and respects the source material. And there’s lots of interesting stuff going on in Middle Earth from the appendixes and Tolkiens notes and whatever to LOTR. And I felt like almost all of his major changes to LOTR were either for the better or at least not terrible.

On the other hand… I dunno. This could also turn out really badly. I don’t want these movies to turn into a rambling, bloated mess. And it seems kind of late in the game to make a choice like that.

Have to wait and see I guess, but I’m choosing to remain cautiously optimistic.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

it seems kind of late in the game to make a choice like that

Unless they were filming the movie and went "fuck, we have way too much for one movie." Which is unlikely, but possible.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

I think that's more than unlikely. I sure think this is what happenned.

    Well you see THE JEWS

  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
It is only at the end of a shoot that you finally get the chance to sit down and have a look at the film you have made. Recently Fran, Phil and I did just this when we watched for the first time an early cut of the first movie — and a large chunk of the second. We were really pleased with the way the story was coming together, in particular, the strength of the characters and the cast who have brought them to life. All of which gave rise to a simple question: do we take this chance to tell more of the tale? And the answer from our perspective as the filmmakers, and as fans, was an unreserved ‘yes.'

We know how much of the story of Bilbo Baggins, the Wizard Gandalf, the Dwarves of Erebor, the rise of the Necromancer, and the Battle of Dol Guldur will remain untold if we do not take this chance. The richness of the story of The Hobbit, as well as some of the related material in the appendices of The Lord of the Rings, allows us to tell the full story of the adventures of Bilbo Baggins and the part he played in the sometimes dangerous, but at all times exciting, history of Middle-earth.

So, without further ado and on behalf of New Line Cinema, Warner Bros. Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Wingnut Films, and the entire cast and crew of "The Hobbit" films, I'd like to announce that two films will become three.

It has been an unexpected journey indeed, and in the words of Professor Tolkien himself, "a tale that grew in the telling."

    Cheers,

    Peter J
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

This seems like a strange decision, but I can't find it in my heart to doubt PJ when it comes to Middle-Earth related material.

  • Kichigai birthday!!

    I was going to make a shitpost thread in Heaper's Hangout for the hell of it, but it seems it is a srs bussiness place now! What happened? ;_;

  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean

    >Heaper's Hangout

I could replace every single word ever posted on this forum with a "ha" and it would not express how hard I am laughing right now.

That said I am yelling at Aliroz right now, because he's a nitwit, but that's not the norm.

  • Kichigai birthday!!

  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean

Finnish Bear is still not funny.

  • Lazuli: unfortunately, that IS the norm. In the time I knew Aliroz, I spent a lot of that time shouting at him.
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean

I meant not the norm on Heapers' Hangout.

He is not around all that much.

I'm sorry about all this, but I haven't shitposted in a long time

  • Has friends besides tanks now

Finnish Bear is still not funny.

As with any meme, it has to be done right. The Spurdos;Gate image that nohaynicklibre's avatar comes from, for instance, got a good laugh out of me.

I like the country balls better,  personally.

  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean

Not technically a meme, since it's used by me and like three other people only, but I am still fond of the carbuncle.

    aka "the derp lizard".

  • Kichigai birthday!!

I still think this image is one of the pinnacles of Internet humor.

  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean

  • That said I am yelling at Aliroz right now, because he's a nitwit, but that's not the norm.

  • They're somethin' else.

  • I clench my fists and yell "anime" towards an uncaring, absent God, and swear solemnly to press my thumbs into Chocolate America's eyeballs until he is blinded, to directly emasculate sporting figures, to beat the shit out of tumblr users with baseball bats, and to quietly appreciate what Waylon Smithers being gay means to me.

    :^O

  • They're somethin' else.

    B^u

  • You can change. You can.

So training day was alright. Sadly it did not involve Denzel Washington calling me his nigga.

and waged war with His angels...

...but in the end, he was slain and his army scattered to the winds.

Six thousand years later, Lucifer has been reincarnated in the body of a young child... and it's only a matter of time before those memories of the past war awaken and the world is once again thrown into chaos.

Anticipating this, a single angel volunteered to be sent down to prevent the resurrection before Lucifer's minions find their leader...

...thing is, Lucifer reincarnated as a sweet, ditzy little girl, who wouldn't hurt a fly.

i find the weirdest manga sometimes

  • You can change. You can.

Not sure how are you surprised about a manga that:

*uses religious imagery because why not and

*takes really fucking scary creatures like nyarlathotep and turn them into moe abominations.

...hmmm. Wonder if there's any moe Emil Blonsky fan art out there. ONLY ONE WAY OF FINDING OUT
