I actually looked in the comics section of the music store I frequently go to. The selection was pitiful, and I didn't find much of anything.
Depressing. Hold them at gunpoint till they send in Avenging Spider-Man.
I watched it with my parents a long time ago (3 years ago, what the hell) and we slept through it. I do remember it was better than I expected, but then again, Argentinian film is pretty sweet.
In fact, you should watch Lost Embrace. It's a pretty sweet movie about being an immigrant in a culture pot like Buenos Aires.
I'm not sure how I feel about this being a possibility.
On the one hand, it does seem like a good way to get ahold of enough money to actually get people to Mars. Space exploration and colonies are definitely something I'd like to see, especially now that NASA has ended our manned space program. Getting the public invested is a good step, and I'd be genuinely interested to watch a show about the first people on Mars.
On the other hand, I'd be sort of nervous that the show would become the worst kind of reality show - manipulative editing for drama, stuff like that. And being the first humans on a new planet must be incredibly stressful. Being filmed all the time seems like it would only make that worse. And there's always a very real chance that something could go drastically wrong, which would serve to turn the public against space travel, which I would hate to see.
All hypothetically speaking, of course. This will probably never get off the ground, but it's still interesting to think about.
At the very least, there should be a documentary and NASA should provide footage, if it ever happened.
Man this is going to send my nerd score through the roof, but I realized that Shin Megami Tensei mythos could build a great Toku show. Different contracts with demons in different executable files letting the hero use different transformations and... tell me that a Jack Frost or Black Frost Henshin sequence wouldn't be the best thing ever.
dude that shit was already on the fucking clouds
Fine, I'm in orbit now.
"YOUR NERD SCORE'S THE NERD SCORE THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS"
Man, someone should tell Naoto she's a toku hero and see her try to hide the squees by being hardboiled.
good night everybody

Well, its the transit of Venus across the Sol star today and its raining
OK, this is the third time this week I’ve gotten in a “Comics suck/No they don’t/Yes they do/No/Yes/No/Yes/” argument. I should consider taking a long time from the internet
Are they saying the whole medium sucks or just a certain kind of comics? Both are dumb, but the first one is just as dumb as saying that books suck.
The second one. (Specifically...wait for it...superheroes.)
Honestly, while I don't mind that not everyone likes superheroes because I'll fix that it certainly annoys me greatly when people dismiss the genre because of the bad examples and business practices. It's like dismissing westerns because of Heaven's Gate.
So, Ray Bradbury died. Bluh.
...that sucks
Well, at least he lived to be really really old
They already sort of did this with Digital Devil Saga.
I only slept three hours today. Not gonna regret that. Nope.
Might as well hate fantasy because of dwarfs <-- well actually, I kinda do hate how fantasy and sci fi loves fantasy races and aliens who amount to humans with silly face makeup on. If you want a different culture for culture clash, just use humans folks.
let's explore the homestuck fandom!
