It seems vaguely fun but I can't really compare to other MMOs.  I have, however, spent a bit too much time trying to keep party members together.
  • I play MMOs sometimes for the community (the good half)

But Eden seemed kind of bare :<

At least the times I could play.

So that's why I dropped off.

    $80+ per session
I've been trying to find more MMOs I like.

    Free ones anyway.
  • I haven't played it in forever, but I think I remember Tales of Pirates being free. Also, Perfect World. Those are the only two I can think of at the moment.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
I've thought about playing it. Is it fun?

    I think it is.

The classes look interesting, at least.

They're releasing more soon, too ^_^

And since you can change classes at any time...
  • I used to be into Second Life. Not anymore, though.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I play WoW, but I'm considering getting into Guild Wars 2 and/or Firefall when they come out, because they won't have subscription fees.
  • Lol. You must not have played Eve Online.

THAT game will make you paranoid.

Which is exactly why I want to play it! :D

That and the whole player-driven economy is pretty cool.

    wait... What?

So... you don't play MMOs because they make you feel horribly paranoid, but you want to play Eve because it will make you feel horribly paranoid?

    I'm sorry, but what?
  • Well, you're supposed to be paranoid in EVE, so I'll fit right in!

    I better

There is a part deep inside that wants to call troll here. But I know this is serious

Look, I just am worried that other players are all snickering behind their monitors and going "lol, faggot noob"

Which they probably do to everybody, but stil
  • Even if they are and they didn't do that to everyone, why would it matter? It's not like they actually know you. They're laughing at pixels.

Ok, let's assume that other players do that. If they do it to everyone, why should it bother you? It's just some asshole who does that.  There is no scenario where it will hurt you. If you want to play, play. If not, no need to make an excuse, just don't play. (ninja'd)
  • Well, yeah. But I try to be presentable and professional, but anyone who knows me has seen that I have failed INCREDIBLY at that....

    ^^^^ They really don't, though.

I've been playing WoW on and off for a couple years now, and I've actually had a pretty good impression of the in-game community.  Most players are actually helpful and sympathetic to noobs, and gladly answered questions about the game to people who ask.  You get a jackass troll in chat channels now and then, and you do get serious business jerks in parties and BGs (mostly Battlegrounds), but they are outnumbered by the genuinely helpful people/silent majority.

Of course, this varies based on personal demeanor, zone, realm, faction, whatever, but it's been my experience.
  • There is no being professional while playing an MMO, Chagen .

Don't you run the same risks by posting in a forum?
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I would think the risks would be higher, seeing as how you're directly interacting with people anytime you're on a forum.
  • Harbinger of thread and forum death
    Yeah, there's that
  • Also, I need monies to do anything useful.

Well, not in Maginobi, but definately in Cosmic Break. Some guy in CBhas spent over 20,000$ and still doesn't have all the crap he wants (he spent it through slot machines, so I guess he's unlucky...)
  • Harbinger of thread and forum death
See, that's a legit concern. Though there are free to play MMOs
  • From what I've heard, if you want to be good in Cosmic Break and actually be useful to a team, you need to spend about $1000.

.....Yes, this game is Asian, why do you ask?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Sounds like a pretty bad game.
  • I only heard this from one person and he didn't explain why, so....

But it has cute Mecha-Musume......and it's a potentially 15vs15 PVP game. It sounds really bitching.

I first learned about it through a dating sim.
