Nice!
> playlist draws from Youtube vids
Actually, I see this as more of a limitation, since I find it easier to just upload stuff directly. Also don't have to be disappointed if a vid is no longer available.
> Google acct to sign in
As I don't like using my Google account for things that aren't Google services, nah. I put my Twitter acct up to this for now though.
That said, I'm not exactly a huge fan of having to sign in first to use this.
Yeah I used Twitter to sign in.
I think private rooms not working kills it for us, since public rooms are displayed prominently to...well, the public.
If/when they come back we could experiment, but I also agree YouTube videos aren't necessarily ideal (though it does mean we can use it for things other than music I guess).
Hmm, I didn't think of using it for things other than music. Interesting idea.
That said, the fact that I have to look to Youtube for stuff kinda means that it's probably a good idea for me to check whether the video is actually what I think it is. Unfortunately, that interrupts my listening to whatever's already playing. If I can just upload my own files, then, well, I already know what they are.
What's wrong with a public room?
Nothing in particular, except that randoms might wander in. I figured we'd want to keep it to people we knew.
True, we do occasionally get a few people who probably hit the random chatroom button, but they leave fairly quickly, so it's not a particularly big problem for us.
Having to sign in (using Twitter, Facebook, or Google) is absolutely horrible and that alone makes it worse than Mumu, but not being able to upload files from your computer makes it even more worse than Mumu.
I do wish you could upload music files, though. Supposedly you can upload from iTunes, but iTunes is awful and it apparently doesn't work.
The Troper Turntable is currently active!

Do you guys still use any of the sites in this thread?
http://www.plug.dj/btl-jukebox-1/ <-- People are using this apparently
I'm sure people would be willing to use one of the Mumu rooms too though.
Yo guys I'm up for some muscial socializing.
http://www.plug.dj/ijbmer-musica-stuff/
Come join me.
I'm up for it.
Yo, I'm bored and it's a saturday night. Who wants to go to plug.dj and listen to music?
I'm up for it.
Edit: shit, I just realized that that was posted 40 minutes ago.
We can still do it if you want to.
I'm in.
So is @fourteenwings.
We can do it again later today. I'm just about to leave, though.
Yo, stand tall, people of IJBM and go to plug.dj
There's people inside.
Thing seems to glitch the fuck out whenever you press the "woot" button. That never happened in the BTL Jukebox.
Did plug.dj just die for anyone else?
Nothing had anything playing, and saladofstones has been having some technical issues on his side, and it sorta kinda glitched up for me when I was trying to switch songs, but I dunno if it actually died for me.
For me, absolutely everything stopped working, and then refreshing it gave me an error. I'll try again now.
I would be interested in that.
Maybe I could follow that with The Drift or Eskimo, just to put everyone at ease...
Yeah. The whole album is hard to describe or listen to for that matter. It'll thrill and reward the listeners who get it, and infuriate the ones who don't.
EDIT: I assembled a playlist of the whole album.
