MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
One of the things that still boggles my mind today is why this of all films was their first animated feature prominent black characters.

I mean it's not bad by any definition.... but... black muses and gospel? what?

^I'm not sure the Disney audience was ready for the princess lead being a total whore with Lancelot. =P

...Man, T.H. White was a racist, misogynist fuck...
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
You could simply cut it out, like Disney did with a lot of stuff. Besides, the adultery subplot was late medieval French revisionism, and not in the original myth.

I mean, really. King Arthur mythology is conflicting and confusing even by the standards of mythology. It was the french that gave it some sense of cohesion and later T.H. White with his shellshock and hatred of the Irish.

I love The Once And Future King, for the record. =P

Hell, I'm pretty sure Lancelot himself was a French creation.

Apparently there is an "original" version, which I believe is a Welsh poem. Whether or not it's the first cohesive version of the tale is subject to debate, though. It might be, but even with that said, it's obvious the true original is lost to time. Some think it had its beginnings as far back as the bronze age.

Although you'd be correct in stating that our chivalric French view of it is the most cohesive.
  • You can change. You can.
I haven't actually seen Terminator 2 from start to finish either.

My point is why evade watching them?
  • -shruuuuuuuuuuug-
  • You can change. You can.
    Welp.

    Your loss, I guess.

As for Disney movies, I'm rather fond of Sleeping Beauty.

    Dat Maleficent
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    Maleficent is your waifu.

That... that explains a lot, actually.
  • You can change. You can.
Are you implying I'm Woody Allen or some shit?
  • I rather enjoy beating Maleficent up in Kingdom Hearts games. Shame you can only do so in two of the games available in Australia.

And she goes down like a bitch every single time.
  • You can change. You can.
I dunno, Dragon Maleficent was the shit.

Maybe because she was an ANGRY DRAGON FROM FUCKING HELL and stuff.

I still just whacked her in the face until she died.

Even if I did spend most of that fight crying in a corner wishing the fire she was spraying everywhere would go away.
  • You can change. You can.
Yeah, I didn't notice her range was limited till I replayed the game. So I basically spent my whole time summoning Tinker Bell and then gliding the hell from her fire.

I think that was my favorite disney boss battle from the game. I'd even say the franchise, were it not because I haven't played Birth By Sleep.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I wish you could switch players you could control.

    I wanted to use Beast....

    You can change. You can.
    I woulda been Tarzan myself.
  • I probably would have been Riku (though we get to play as him, story-wise, in two games).

    Barring that, Jack Skellington.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I might have chosen Donald but magic in KH = lolno
  • KH2 magic = lolno.

It's fine everywhere else. Every party member except Riku and Simba was absolutely fucking useless in 2 as well.
  • You can change. You can.
Magic in KH is pretty useful.

It's the sequels which started to just have it as a puzzle solver, if at all.

Shit, I don't think you could fight the last string of fights without summons and Aero.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I managed it with just passive buffs and hitting stuff.

Still, the sequels did dumb things down considerably.
  • ^^HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Re:CoM's magic system is considerably more complex, as is Sleep's. Sleep's is probably my favourite, aside from basic combos being rubbish and there being no use for Ethers.
  • You can change. You can.
Well, I was playing in hard. And it's not like KHII's Proud Mode which was just easymodo but less easy.

CoM's magic system is not complex beyond the card play involved in creating the sleights.

As in, it's the same system of "Spell, spell-ra, spellga" KH always has had, but with the difference that you can perform "spellga" right away, if you want to, IIRC.
  • So was I.

You've got to memorise them and build your deck to fit them though, unlike other games where you just select from a menu.

I still need to play Re:CoM. Fucking something.
  • $80+ per session
    Tron wasn't useless
  • Magic in Re/Com was pretty damn useful, and even if you preferred to whack stuff with your keyblade, magic cards were still components of some pretty powerful sleights.
  • No rainbow star
    What's ReCom?
  • You can change. You can.
A remake of Chain of Memories for the PS2

And yeah, you're right, I forgot about the decks and magic + keyblade combos you could perform.
  • Shit, I don't think you could fight the last string of fights without summons and Aero.

    In the first Kingdom Hearts?

Summons were near-useless for the whole game and Aero only made things easier, but was (as far as I know) never necessary.  The only spell you absolutely needed was Cure/Cura/Curaga (except in special cases where you needed some spell for a puzzle or something).
