    I liked it quite a bit, though I do feel like it was definitely the weakest episode of the season so far.

    Lyra is a background pony, so she doesn't really have much canon characterization.

    But in one episode, she can be briefly seen sitting on a bench like a human would.


    So the fandom basically ran with it, and decided that Lyra acts like/wants to be a human.

    And wants hands.

    She doesn't really even have a character in the show. She's just shown doing background stuff. To contrast, Bonbon actually has lines and interacts with the other characters on very rare and brief occasions.

    Agreed on the part about this being the weakest episode of the season, but I don't mind so much since it was still reasonably entertaining and the others have been great.

    Lol @ Dinky not being related to Derpy and Berry's sister turning out to not be her daughter. Also, how the hell did a family of four end up with three different accents?

    Maybe Rarity uses that accent on purpose to sound more refined or something.

    Also, at least we don't have to wait 2+ weeks for the next episode.

    She has a Mid-Atlantic accent, which was made specifically so that upperclass American WASPs could sound fancy.

    A horse apple is actually a kind of fruit, but before I looked it up I assumed it was a reference to road apples, which is horse shit. Maybe it really is, and it was a clever way around censors.
