Not that much, actually. Enough to draw some people in, then smack them with a story of intense politics and outer-space action.

I do enjoy how the fanservice has little to do with the story. Similarly, I dislike how some other shows (coughMaiHimecough) love making a point of the fanservice by playing it for humor. Your Mileage May Vary; some people like it the other way around--they like it when fanservice is played for humor and dislike it when it's mostly ignored.

Also, FYI, that song is the B-side of the single release of "Future", the KG ending theme, by Little Viking. That's the only reason it's associated with KG.

Most people other than GMH who have seen the series tend to dislike Kiddy Grade.

The typical reaction is meh, though IIRC Midgetsnowman enjoyed it.

Jhiday hated it, but he loves Mai-HiME for some reason. I have basically the opposite opinion on both shows.

Also, it's not a moe series. It's action, some mechs, superhero/supersoldier main characters, some political intrigue, and various themes, some philosophical.

Not in stores anywhere, as I've found, sadly. At least, I haven't found it. FUNimation publishes it, and there are several versions, the difference between which I don't understand. The complete set is 8 discs of 3 episodes each plus bonus content.
