....And I don't really care. At all. I used to get all excited around this date, but I basically am the same as normal this year. It's just gone to being "just another day" now. And after this birthday, I can get a driver's/rider's license. You'd think I'd be more excited about this....

  • maybe you'll feel different when its really your birthday. are you having a party?

Happems as you get older. It becomes more of a, "Meh, so what?" thing
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
When you were younger, you'd only had a few of them.
  • Koro: Probably not. That actually proves my point: I didn't even plan a party because I just don't think about my birthday very much.
  • I've felt this way for a long time, possibly since mine is really deep into December and smack between Christmas and New Years, so every year people are either "lol that's your birthday AND Christmas present" or "lol I forgot" or "lol I'm broke", so I sorta grew up not really caring much either ways about it.

Not as bad as my friend had it though. She has her birthday in early September and one year all she got was school supplies.

"She has her birthday in early September and one year all she got was school supplies."

    WHO DOES THAT!?
  • Kichigai birthday!!
My mother does that. My birthday was the 19 and she says buying the text books was enough of a present. I can't really complain, they are expensive as fuck.

Besides,my sister may buy me a tablet anyway
  • ^ But when you think about it, by buying your supplies it frees up your own money to buy what you want.
  • After a certain age, you realize that birthdays are just bumps in the road signifying just another brick in the wall.
  • You can change. You can.
All in all, it's just another brick in the wall.

I actually kinda look forward to my birthdays these days. It's the only day in the year I can meet with most of my friends, due to Carnaval and stuff.
  • Everyone in our house was born in February, so birthdays are kind of slim coming in after Christmas. That why if I ever have kids, I'll make sure their birthdays are in the summer.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
I still look forward to my birthday, as I get pretty nice gifts and dinner at a good restaurant. No parties though, though I never really liked those any way.

I suppose it helps that my birthday is in June.
