  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
What does that have to do with anything?

'Chagen' is just a username.  It doesn't sound any stupider than any of my usernames.

But going Auuu~ like an anime girl is definitely trying too hard.
  • It's trying too hard when anime girls do it. Of course it's going to sound weird coming from an actual person.

    Then again, I'm biased, so...
  • No, I meant that my Verbal Tic was either going to be "Cha" or "Gen", but then I realized that sounded retarded so I chose "Au" for no reason at all.

Bob: I'm not serious when I say it, au~
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
Deliberately giving yourself a verbal tic is trying too hard full stop
  • I can never have fun around you guys.

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    ^^ This.

It's annoying enough in anime, but an intention tic coming from a real person is just too much.
  • Dude, it's not "us not letting you have fun", it's "us telling you that the whole 'auuu' thing is slightly obnoxious".
  • Because sticking tildes everywhere is not as bad, amirite
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
^ I don't really like the random tildes, but they at least have a point.  Verbal tics are worse.
  • I want to make my title "Au~" just for the hell of it but that would probably be in bad taste
  • No rainbow star
What's, ah, like wrong with dem VARBLE ticks, eh? Uguu~~~~

Dear lord I just killed a bunch of brain cells there
  • I don't stick tildes everywhere. Because they're obnoxious.

Look, there are other ways you can have fun. Plus, we're not necessarily saying you can't have a verbal tic (despite it not being verbal at all, but that's an entirely different story), we're just saying that we would find it annoying. I mean, I could type like Gamzee, only exclusively in pink comic sans, lIkE tHiS, but I won't out of consideration for everyone else here.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
Also, no offense, but it's kind of hypocritical to rant about weeaboos in one topic and then turn around and start talking about having your own verbal tic in another.
  • I don't worship Japan.

That disqualifies me from being a Weeaboo already.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
Neither do weabooes. They worship their idealized version of it based from what they learned of anime.

You just idealize some of its' more annoying traits, like verbal tics.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
The word weeaboo: my nomination for "dumbest meme on the internet."

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    ^Agreed.

    Weeaboo is the stupidest word.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
I still have no idea where that word even comes from.
  • No rainbow star
    ...It sounds vaguely Japanese? *shrugs*

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^^A very nonsensical comic in which I've never been able to identify the actual joke.

Then someone started using it to mean "wapanese," another dumb word, because they start with the same letter and are thus apparently extremely similar.
  • You can change. You can.
The word weeaboo: my nomination for "dumbest meme on the internet."

    son, those are fighting words
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    What would you nominate?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I'll admit that Candlejack is a tough competitor.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    Candlejack isn't as widespread, though.

    And weeaboo is stupider anyway.
  • You can change. You can.
    > Candlejack
    > Hipster
    > Advice Dog macros
    > BAT CREDIT CARD
    > Owned
  • Hipster and Weeaboo actually describe behavioral patterns, though.

...What the hell is bat credit card?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Weeaboo bothers me more because the way it sounds is an affront to my ears and its origin is someone spinning off "random" humor from other "random" humor, while the others actually have backgrounds that make some damn sense.
  • No rainbow star
I would nominate Can I Haz Lulcatz Plz?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^Yeah, that one was funny when it made its debut in the 20s, but hasn't been since.
  • You can change. You can.
Hipster and Weeaboo actually describe behavioral patterns, though.

It's not that the words and concepts behind them are wrong, it's the inanity of the jokes and the fact that they are a big deal on the internet. Enough for any user to know what they are.

Honestly, I do like the jokes, even if I find them stupid, but that's because I would never claim I have a refined sense of humor (Hell, I do laugh at toilet humor)

(Also, I typed that as Toilet Humpor. >.>)
