  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
In an outsider's experience observing relationships with such gaps: yes. It makes a difference.  The thing about the karate was mostly a joke, but even so I'd rather not upset the sister of a close friend who can kick like a Dragon Ball Z character.
  • I was just referring to the karate thing. I'm sure difference in maturity can cause problems.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^^^At least two. I could've also gone the "reversal of expectations" route with regard to who was more experienced.

    How old are you, Malk?

24, which seems to be pretty old by the standards of the board.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
They let you use computers at the old folks' home?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Computers? Back in my day we wrote words on paper and sent to people and if we got responses in three weeks we were happy with that!

I would encourage you to go after her but I am not sure if there is a law against encouraging people to commit statutory rape (if it counts or not).
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Well we've covered that she's legal here, but that's really not the point.
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
Well does she have any way of contacting you or was it just a "oh he's here  jiiiiiiiiiiiii" kind of thing?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    Well, we are facebook friends...

where are you going with this?
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
You can play with her. Make yourself visible in small amounts to keep her interested, but not completely get involved with her, so eventually if you do decide what you are going to do that she hasn't already lost interest.
  • He already said he wasn't attracted to her.

That's what I get for not reading....)_)
  • Yes, that's exactly what happens when you don't read a thread, but feel the need to contribute nonetheless.

Also, I'm completely certain I can't do 'Malk the casanova'.

    Like at all.
  • Question is...do you like her back? If so, to the same extent she does, more, less?
  • "You can play with her."

    The choice of words is...unfortunate.

And I'm twelve years older than Malkavian, if there's some kind of prize for age.

Not attracted as covered before. I mean, she's a sweet girl, but not really my type.
  • Use as placeholder relationship until something more up your alley rolls along. Going for significantly older boys is a phase she needs to get over anyway, better that it happens with someone kind than with a douchebag.

  • @Insane, he doesn't like, and she's 16
  • Meknows, but those aren't really obstacles, are they now?

That crushing on older boys will probably go on until she goes to uni, unless she gets disillusioned with the concept in the meantime. For him it can be a stop-gap to once again establish availability on the dating market, and as a contrast to remind him what he really wants in a relationship.

At least, that's how I've seen such a scenario played out a few times(mostly with old highschool bros, because they are so kind as to give me a supply of opportunities for Pedobear jokes): a relationship that will at most last half a year, won't really go anywhere, and both participants came out of it wiser but not unhappier.
