I mostly agree with what's being said here. I mean, I barely go there anyway because it's mostly irrelevant. IMO, keeping up with the damn thing is nearly impossible, which is why I avoid megathreads in general.

A thread about fetishes is useful to me because where else am I going to talk about that stuff? I mean not in real life, certainly...it's a release valve of sorts. And while I've accepted that it's a very mutable thread, it does seem to spend most of its time kind of off its intended topic. Granted, when something is the designated Only Sex Thread, that makes sense. But still...way to make my not-really-sex-based, mostly clothing-and-aesthetics-based kinks feel out of the ordinary, guys! :P

Was I there for the golden age? I have no idea. IJBM still very much existed when I found it...Made of Meat, the OP herself, was still there...that was ages ago in TV Tropes time. I think it was a bit purer back then.

Most of what I post there has to do with Frances (well, maybe about half of what I post there) and people either seem to be jealous, don't care, or keep forgetting who she is and stuff. Other than that, I don't have anything TO say! Every time masturbation has come up, I often want to just jump in and be like "Yup, still don't masturbate." just to be contrary, but I know that's pointless. Ah, I'm rambling again. I think this is the longest post in this thread. (Sometime I look at my post lengths and start to think there's something seriously wrong with me...by internet standards at least...)

That's not what I meant. I guess I shouldn't have put those two things so close together. I meant the thread was closer to its purpose, because it hadn't yet been designated the overflow for everything about sex anywhere on the forum.

Also...hmm...I really need to look at the OP again. All I know is that whatever she started the thread for, it just became a thread about fetishes and not a proper IJBM. And then new people would Thread Hop and have to be told that it wasn't actually a complaining thread, mostly. Or something like that.

It's not bad to have mixed feelings about certain aspects of porn. When I first was introduced to the not-wonderful world of tentacles I was horrified, amused, disgusted and aroused by it all in one.
