  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
I usually prefer subs over dubs, but if the dub is of good quality then I'll take it.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    ^^This. Except for Godzilla films.

I've nothing against subs, (in fact I often watch them) but sub snobs can be more than a little annoying to me.
  • a little muffled
I agree that dubs generally don't work on live action. For animated stuff, I guess I have a mild preference for dubs, but either way is fine.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I only dislike dubs in anime when the dubs themselves are actually horrific. Clannad, besides being offensively boring, had some of the worst dubbing I've heard in this enlightened weeaboo era.
  • Hey!  There were... like nine good episodes in Clannad!
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I'm not watching the dub and I'm not going out of my way to torrent it.

Also, Dyre, you may know this. Is there any reason to watch shuffle other than the one girl going yandere?
  • You can change. You can.
I love how "A girl going Yandere" is a reason to watch a show for you, Malkypoo.

I haven't seen Shuffle yet, so I dunno.

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^Dude, even if you don't have my screwed-up fetish for them, surely you must agree they're entertaining to watch?
  • You can change. You can.
I'll just let the Engineer here speak for me:

(Actually, sorta. I just don't think it's particularly interesting. -shrug-)
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
You don't think a girl going nuts and starting to violently destroy people makes for great television?
  • I'd play the original game of Shuffle if I was bored.

An ANN review said the anime was generic ecchi-harem, though. Without the porn.

I mean, why watch the anime? You don't even get a badly drawn reward for suffering through the cliches!
  • You can change. You can.
To give you a hint, Carrie bores me.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I've read the shuffle VN and...what yandere?
  • Kichigai birthday!!
Oh boy Yandere talk! MAD pimping time

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^One of the girls.. .Rin I think, goes nuts with a box cutter out of jealousy or so I heard.

    ^Wha....

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Um...it's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure that's not in the VN.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
It might not be in the VN, but it's all over TV Tropes and in her character sheet and everything.

Ah, TV Tropes states it as the most noticeable difference between the anime and the game.
  • When a movie is live-action, I prefer subtitles. When it's animated, I prefer dubs.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I mean, I guess it makes sense with her character if the protagonist winds up not committing to one girl for awhile, as would be needed for the anime.
  • Kichigai birthday!!
I just like watching the two versions if I have the chance.
  • You can change. You can.
^True dat. But normally, if I can't have the chance, then dub first.

I tried watching Ghost in the Shell with both dub and subs (translated separately) in the same language at the same time. It was maddening.
  • a little muffled
My friend does that all the time. I don't know how he manages to stay sane.
  • You can change. You can.

    How...how does that work?

What do you mean? You just put the subtitles file into a dubbed video.

Edit: Oh wait, typo. Fixed. Sorry about that.
  • As someone who actually watched Shuffle!, Rin going batshit is not worth the pay-off of having to sit through 10 episodes of her being a kitchen drone.
  • I gravitate towards dubs for one reason and one reason only: to bypass Engrish.
  • You can change. You can.
    Ooooh...

I was doing that with RahXephon, actually. >_>
  • "What do you mean? You just put the subtitles file into a dubbed video"

Oh. I do this all the time.

I love putting the subs while watching the dubs so I can compare them.
