Yeah, I thought the post was funny but was like, logic gates are things you can do with bits, but aren't the same as the bits themselves.

Also I was looking at the picture and rather confused at how that would work lol. Seems like something that would need to be reset rather than can be in continuous operation.

Yeh, the paper doesn't pretend to be more than a way to construct logic gates. You could make something like a processor if you also used flip-flops (an element that takes an input and returns the previous step's input). I suppose a straight pathway counts? Also (actual) gates to let crabs pour into the system to simulate input.
Regardless, I've learned to be wary of sources that equivocate Turing-completeness with (*looks up name*) functional completeness, what you get with logic gates only.

The "too Polish" ideas for a joke mostly revolved about the cop asking for baptism papers instead of other forms of a personal identity document, but a) I don't know what's the proper English term for the documents the clerical bureaucracy prepares for baptism, b) I don't know if you guys would recognize these documents as anything that could roughly serve as personal ID, c) I don't know if any of you would find the idea of a supposedly secular cop enforcing religious authority working as a joke. Also, it works better in the context of the righties in power in here. (I'm assuming the idea of a cop asking for papers in general is universal enough, however.)

Also, I just read that that picture was allegedly taken during some sort of large-scale police training exercises and that was a part of the scenario. (I still have no idea what kind of scenario it was if it involved monk squads.)
