Meanwhile, in the United States:
Technically, ivermectin is also used for disinfecting other livestock. There's a picture going around mocking folks who are trying to use ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment by noting the irony that they (or at least people of a similar political persuasion) made a habit of calling those who follow public safety measures (and other rules) "sheep" and juxtaposing said habit with a bottle of ivermectin sheep drench.
A couple months ago a physician friend had recommended ivermectin for COVID, too. I may be misremembering something, though.
