Sierra Mist is sweeter and less sour than 7-up, which is sweeter and less sour than Sprite, which is by far sweeter and less sour than Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, or any other cola.

Colas ARE sour, and not really all that sweet. That's why I don't like them.
Also, they typically have caffeine. But I have alternative caffeine sources that are also sweet. So either I don't want caffeine or I can get better caffeine.

I mean, they're somewhat acidic, but that's not the same thing as being sour.
Colas are sweeter than coffee by far, provided you don't add sugar to the coffee (And even then, you have to add a lot to make it as sweet as a cola)
It's not the sweetness that bugs me about Sierra Mist, it's that awful afterbite. It tastes like they slipped alum into it or something.
Pop (hell, virtually all sugary drinks) are starting to get replaced with Water, Tea, and Almond Milk in my list of drink superiority

Okay, colas aren't sour like lemon juice. But colas are more sour than, say, apple juice.
But the thing you're describing as sourness is distinct from normal sourness.
