It seems to be an unwritten rule that red>blonde>black>brown hair with girls. (Though with guys brown haired kids are heroes, blondes are evil, and red-heads get beat up)

I don't get this. Surely people have met brown-haired girls deserving of their naughty thoughts?

Don't really have a preference, just have certain hair colour+dress style/body type combos that I like best.

Blonde-shoulder length, tall and slender person, au naturelle on make-up, summer dress/sandals

Black-straight, throw in a hair decal or two, not too stocky or thin, goth chic

Brunette-works well with any style(even a bun), stocky to petite, glasses, sweaters or other conservative style

Red-long hair, thin, semi-formal style of dress, only one that can smoking look even remotely sexy

Dyed-Bleached with highlights, short length, petite, punk style without verging into scene

Anime:

White > Light blue > Blue/purple(I can't tell the difference half the time) > Dark blue > Light green (or whatever Hatsune Miku's hair color is) > Multiple hair colors at once (like Hijiri Byakuren's, though where this is in the rank depends on the colors used)Pink > Black > Red > Light yellow > Yellow > Everything else

I suppose it is but when I think blonde it's usually much shinier than the plain yellow used in anime.
