    I have been trying to use them only when I am backed by the rules. Its' the reason I didn't close the loli thread, despite it squicking everyone; because there was no rule against it.

    No, not really. That would imply that a moderator can never be wrong in their moderating decisions. Certainly, though, it's possible, so sometimes if a user complains about an unfair mod act then, sometimes it really is because a mod was being unfair. Or whatever.

    Not that that's necessarily the case in any particular past examples of Cygan's modding.

    ^^Well, I think it's just a thing of knowing when to exert your power and when to just lie back and let things proceed as they are. Granted, I know that's easier said than done. I haven't seen anything to indicate that you've been abusing your powers.
