As someone with a SA account as well, I agree with the assessment of SA with Crimsons addendum. I stay out of GBS and PYF for this reason.

As someone who still lurks there: I only lurk ADTRW, E/N, and Traditional Games (and occasionally Punchsport Pagoda and The Book Barn) because those have threads I like. I don't use much else, and I actively avoid GBS and YLLS. tl;dr: SA has its bright spots, but it also has its own annoying memes.
And as much as I don't care about Reddit, it's probably not all bad.
I've come to like SA more after seeing how bad all its spinoff sites are.
I only follow one social justice blogger, but often I really am informed about issues I didn't know about. SJW shit can get pretty silly, but in an internet that has MRAs and other Alt Right types, they are a welcome countermeasure.
Not that SJW and hardcore reactionaries ever actually go after one another, but that's an IJBM for another day.
No they are not. Two wrongs don't make a right. SJW antics are actively discrediting legitimate movements and giving more fuel for MRAs and Alt-Right reactionaries to justify their beliefs.
In theory that could happen, but Alt-Right types stick to mocking dead formations of leftism like postmodernism.

@Nova: Yeah, Tumblr's got good structure (except for the part where it nerfs photo quality), but is...Rarely used to full potential.
From what I've seen they use Tumblr SJW as their primary example of "Libuhrals", granted Tumblrites are an easy target anyway but still.
My first point still stands though.
Funny thing is I don't think very many active actual social justice people I know from real life keep track of Tumblr antics.
So while I don't think Tumblr SJWs discredit social justice as a whole very much they DO make internet discussion of it a royal pain in the ass since people have a tendency to explode.

I feel tempted to say /tg/ is not that bad, but it does have quite a bit of terribleness... you just learn to spot it and avoid it, or not, if you happen to find that particular brand amusing.

I have a tumblr I've used regularly for a few months and have run into SJWs all of once.
They seem to be as hated on tumblr as they are elsewhere.
Also this place has plenty of its own problems, but I'm not going to go into that.

Also 1d4chan gives me a headache. The same website accusing Matt Ward of misogyny also having 40k porn makes me both laugh and piss vinegar.
It's almost like there are multiple people on the same website.
They're also won't let the Matt Ward thing go. Seriously, he sucks but you don't have to put that he sucks on EVERY SINGLE PAGE. Also, their 40K army tacticas are hilariously outdated/wrong.
Really, all 1d4chan is good for is a cheap laugh and transcripts of amusing campaigns like the Grendel saga.

Continental philosophy seems pretty much over it. Zizek, Badiou, Laruelle, and the various Deleuzians that have popped up consider themselves realists or general anti-postmodernists.
You have to remember that, despite the "amorphous blob" thing anonymous has going, it's actually a whole lot of different people with a whole lot of different opinions. I've personally not seen a lot of people complaining about animu in /tg/... of course, I also stay away from most things 40K related, so maybe there's where the worst is contained.
The idea that Anonymous is even a group is pretty laughable. It's mostly an ever-changing blob of script-kiddies who get their rocks off by "hacking" things they don't understand. The only ones who are at all devoted to the idea of Anonymous as a group are the outcast kids who buy Guy Fawkes masks and then don't understand why the rest of the internet laughs at them as they get arrested for doing stupid shit.

No the worst is contained in all the Star Wars threads, D&D Alignment morality discussions, and shitty Quest threads. Then again I'm probably biased.
